I'm not quite sure about all the positive reviews this restaurant has received, but I certainly need to add mine! The interior has been beautifully revitalized, and the terrace is lovely with reasonably spaced tables. The staff is excellent; from the moment we arrived, we felt like valued guests. The food is simply outstanding—well-prepared, deliciously cooked, and beautifully plated to whet your appetite. The portion sizes are generous, providing great value for money. The wine prices are reasonable, and they also offer a selection of cocktails. We visited here on a very busy Thursday evening, due to the firework display. Despite the restaurant being extremely busy we were given a warm welcome. Although we hadn’t booked, the staff suggested we could wait a few minutes and they could seat us at the bar. This was great! We were shown to the hotel lobby and offered a drink. After less than 10 minutes we were shown to the bar. The service, drinks and food were excellent. The portions were large and very well cooked. The homemade mustard on the charcuterie board was particularly good! A great evening and brilliant staff!

We enjoyed a wonderful evening at Louise Taverne. We had reserved bar seating. The atmosphere was lively the space very nice. We both ordered the flank steak it was perfectly cooked, sides complimented the steak well. The bartender recommended a nice red wine to accompany the meal. We saved room for dessert you should too the crème brûlée chocolate nougat. The staff is very pleasant. The manager actively ensures you will enjoy your evening as he is is greeting/seating guests, clearing glasses checking on everyone. We will certainly go back.

After an 8-hour drive from the States, we decided to stop for dinner based on our concierge's recommendation. Despite not having a reservation on a busy Wednesday night, the staff seated us within 15 minutes. We were so glad we stopped in! Although the waiters seemed a bit underoccupied, they were fantastic at fulfilling all our requests. The French martini was excellent, and if you’re fortunate enough to try the trout special, definitely go for it! We would absolutely return if we had more evenings in Quebec. I traveled from Southern Ontario to Quebec City and discovered this restaurant by chance. Honestly, that day I had the best meal of my life. I ordered a gnocchi dish, and I can’t even begin to describe how incredible it tasted. It's been three months since my visit, and I find myself craving that gnocchi every single day! I’ve even thought about making the nine-hour drive back to Quebec City just to have it again! I would give it a perfect 10/10 and highly recommend it.

We visited Louise based on a recommendation, and it turned out to be the best choice we could have made! The food was incredibly fresh, and the wine selection was exquisite. The owner and staff were absolutely delightful, and I would return in an instant. They made our evening truly unforgettable. If you’re ever in Quebec, Louise is a must-visit! xx

We ate here twice. The first time of the recommendation of the hotel concierge, The second time based on our experience the first time. A great place for lunch, especially if they still serve breakfast. The server(s) were very patient with our inability to speak the language. The atmosphere and view outside was great.
