Well on my recent trip to Edmonton I went down to checkout this restaurant, being from Alberta I always wanted to eat here. I really enjoy Cajun food and went in expecting an authentic experience and was given plates full of disappointment. I arrived around 7pm and the restaurant was not to busy with ample seating and a very elegant atmosphere. The server was very polite, however the wait time to order a drink and then receive it was quite a bit longer then expected. I had already knew what I was going to order as I checked the menu out online. So I was ready...I had the Alligator kabob and fried green tomatoes to start, followed by the satisfaction plate and finished the meal with bread pud...
My partner and I visited Louisiana Purchase for our Valentines Day dinner. It had been a few years since my last visit and it seemed like the restaurant hadn't changed much, if at all. It could definitely use an update, even if it was just new carpet. The service was alright, but our meal took a while to arrive. The waitress apologized and mentioned that the kitchen was backed up, although I did notice that other tables who ordered after us received their meals sooner. The seafood gumbo and pecan crusted brie were delicious, but the main courses were average and my partner's fish was overcooked. We've been here twice now, and will definitely go back. My husband likes the alligator, but the portion is quite small, which is understandable. The soup/gumbo is great, as are the jambalayas and blacked fish. The chicken dinner and chicken with waffles were really good and the portions are huge! Next time I'm going to try to leave room for one of their desserts, which look amazing!

The ribs were excellent and fell off the bone. I really likes the two dips with the sweet potato fries. The service was very friendly but a bit muddled, with our drinks arriving after our entrees.
This place is Great! Delicious food and the service was friendly! Me and my boyfriend shared an alligator appetizer, and i had the seafood jambalya and it was delicious! Would come back again!
If you like new Orleans style food, you've got to check this place out! I'd say it's mildly comparable to dadeo in menu options!
