Popped in here for bite to eat in evening. Place seems nice enough, didn’t have the problems with staff some of the other poor reviews had. Problems were slow kitchen service then one of meals not worth the waiting for. Two Cullen skinks for starters were tasty enough though one was a little more devoid of fish than the other. Then the smoked haddock risotto followed the same theme ie. a few very small flakes of smoked fish, dish was mainly rice and peas with very little fish flavour. Could only eat a few forkfuls before calling waitress over and asking her to take it away. Was asked if I’d like anything else but given the wait already experienced decided against it. Booked for dinner for four as part of a birthday celebration. Service for drinks was prompt and given plenty of time to make our choice from the varied menu. The starters we had were the pate with focaccia, crayfish cocktails and potato and leek soup. All were delicious and good sized portions. Given the restaurant was pretty busy the service was quite quick. Our main course choices were three for the fillet steaks (8oz) all cooked to perfection with accompanying veg or salad. One had the homemade steak pie with mash and veg. This was also delicious and portion size so generous. We finished with lattes, cappuccino and vanilla ice cream. The server, a young girl, was very polite and friendly, just like the rest of the staff in Largs. The atmosphere in the restaurant is perfect for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. There are both small tables for couples and larger tables for groups.
The restaurant is decorated with candelabras and has a cozy open fire with an impressive original fireplace. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and would definitely recommend it to others. It's worth noting that the restaurant is located upstairs, so it may not be accessible to those in wheelchairs or with disabilities.
One of the best venues in Largs. Provides so much under the one roof I’ve been there for private parties, Sunday roast, Afternoon Tea, family dinners, couples dinners, drinks on the stunning roof terrace and also the club room on a Saturday night which is fantastic (just to name a few) so much to offer. Food is of such a high quality, great price and I’ve never had any issues. Great staff always very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend Lounge to all for a all round great venue.

We called into the Lounge for lunch prior to seeing friends off after they had enjoyed a lovely weekend in Largs. We were certainly not disappointed by the Sunday Lunch. The entire group enjoyed their choices very much. THe roast beef and yorkshire pudding was simply the best I had tasted for a very long time. The beef was extremely tender and very tasty. The service was very good and the whole place took us back to a bygone era. We will definitely return to The Lounge.
We visited this restaurant last Sunday for lunch and all of us ordered the Sunday roast. However, two of us decided not to have the starter. Our meals arrived lukewarm, with Yorkshire pudding that tasted greasy. To our dismay, we were charged for three starters on the bill, even though we only had one. It would have been helpful if we were informed that skipping the starter would make our meal cheaper. Unfortunately, we don't plan on returning to this restaurant.
Having walked past this place a few times and read the menu- I decided to give it a try for lunch while in Largs.I chose Beef and ale pie because of the description. It was cheap cuts of beef in a tasteless gravy. The pint of Lager was terrible, not sure why.But the ultimate highlight was the barman spraying Raid (insect killer) around the light fittings above a nearby table while I was eating.I am told that the Lounge is a popular venue in the evenings though.
Really classy restaurant with an old-school feel. Extremely friendly staff and quick service. The food was incredible, with plenty of gluten free and even vegan options to chose from. The portion sizes were perfect and both meal and drinks really well priced. Can not recommend this place enough.

Great location near the waterfront with delicious food. The staff is friendly and it really enhanced the overall experience. I will definitely be returning again.
