This is restaurant that in the past my family has visited and thoroughly enjoyed which lead them to taking me and my partner there for my 40th birthday celebrations. From the beginning they claimed to not have our booking even though we had electronic evidence of it being made. We struggled to get the attention of the barman to get a drink as we had to wait for our table. This restaurant is well designed and has beautiful decor. The patio is first come, first served and is accessible from the outside. Our order consisted of the chicken fajitas, crispy veggie tempura and fish tacos. The fajitas came sizzling and were favourful, the veggie tempura had a nice, light crispy batter but the fish tacos were bland. Both the tacos and tempura were overpriced for their portion size. The service needs improvement. It took too long to order, the starter came quick but there was a very long wait for the mains to arrive. Really underwhelmed! If Brian Maule has overseen the Largs establishment I would be concerned. Prawn Cocktail starter saturated with vinegar and bulked out with cherry tomatoes! I couldn’t imagine any establishment getting a PC so wrong for 10.95. Fish and Chips at 19 pounds or so, pretty average. Mushy peas are not a Scottish thing and if they are included they should be edible! Overall Buzzworks Largs, the service is getting better but still a long way to go I’m afraid. The poor relations of the Buzzworks portfolio has always been in Largs for whatever reason?
The staff, venue were excellent The steak was really disappointing in quality and the way it was cooked, we asked for medium rare and got medium to well done My boy had a burger and said it was good, I gave him a try of the steak without passing comment, he said it wasn't up to the standard we buy in Lidl and it was overcooked The restaurant did have a nice atmosphere and I would eat here again but I would avoid the steak

Today, I had an amazing experience at Scotts Largs, celebrating my 6 month old daughter's first trip to Scotland with a group of 20 people. The staff was very helpful and the set menu food was delicious. Mia, our waitress, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Thank you for creating a memorable day! Highly recommended.
The service at this restaurant is extremely slow, with drinks taking a good 10-15 minutes to arrive after ordering. However, the food came quickly and was tasty. The prices are on the higher side. The slow service is perplexing, as they would likely sell more drinks if they were more attentive.
The lunch menu provided good value at £17.50 and had a variety of options to choose from. The buffalo cauliflower salad was tasty, and the chicken and fish and chips were also enjoyable. There was a nice selection of desserts, with the sticky toffee pudding being particularly light and fluffy.
Far too noisy for a good night out. Very average over priced food. Since when do you put Rocket in a prawn cocktail. Far too much rice on the chili chicken curry. If you are trying to be an upper crust venue, step up to the plate. Will not be recommending or returning.

Brilliant location, good parking but the service is poor and the food is over priced. Have a look at basics like mac and cheese that is v average and the price. You just yet the feeling its taking advantage of where it is.
Starter was Gambas Pil Pil. Completely over cooked. Main was Beef burger. Worse tham McDonald's. Plain, tough. Both were overpriced for very poor quality.
