IF you can put up with the vagaries of the weather, dining water-front almost anywhere at Barangaroo is still a tad chancy..it was a bit windy even though the Autumn sun a was out .. accordingly (because both my husband myself abhor having the...top of our heads being toasted by ceiling heaters!!! , we chose a somewhat poorly positioned table right on the walkthroughway, that dodged the aforementioned EVERYTHING..but alas still remained a little uncomfortable> a cool wind was whistling along the corridoor. That said (sic we really liked what the kitchen sent out even with the waitstaff obviously under a lot of pressure(not enough team members? everything went pretty well.. my baby Australian...
We were celebrating a birthday but weren’t very organised ahead of time so it was great to be able to book a table for dinner the day before the event. Even better, we had a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Outdoors was very appealing...but as one of our party is hard of hearing we chose indoors where it was pleasantly quiet and easy to talk. The restaurant atmosphere is pleasant and the service was very friendly. We had chosen love.fish in part because of their focus on serving sustainable Australian seafood. Two of our party shared the seafood platter which they really enjoyed; there seemed to be a large and interesting range of dishes. I chose a king dory curry which was tasty but did...
Extremely poor service and very average food was experienced by all 4 of us at lunch there on Sept 18, 2022. Give this place a very wide berth until they get their mojo back. Disinterested and frankly arrogant staff can totally destroy a restaurants reputation...and this place needs a thorough review of their staff and the lack of attention they pay to their customers. Our main courses that were supposed to be hit were Luke warm but we feared a complaint to our arrogant server might result in her creating a scene so we suffered in silence but this will be the last time we visit this once excellent restaurant for a very long time.
Like many mid-range restaurants in Sydney at the moment 100.00 per head on a meal is often not well spent. This is certainly the case at Lovefish. Entrees were quite basic, main courses were just put on the plate jobs . There was no TLC...in this place with either the food or by the staff who appeared to be not enjoying their work. This was not a great experience, made much worse by the discovery later that my card had been charged a no-show fee of 100.00. Waiting for that to be sorted. I do not recommend this place.

great place, we just walked in a Saturday night and get a table. the seafood plate was good and more than enough for two people. the food plate was great to compare with another place when they fill it with lots of fry fish, this. one was mainly fresh fish, and dozens of oysters. the personal was really nice and reaktiw to ask everyone.
I have been here 3 times in as many weeks. Comprehensive menu and good specials. Good wine list and service. I particularly like that if you say I want to get in and out in 30 mins or say you are in no rush / take time then they actually listen and do that. Brussel sprout sides are too good, don't order them....
recently, every time we travel to sydney, we try to work in a meal at Love.fish very tasteful seafood, beautiful location and attentive staff. their carburized otopus is unforgettable and even the humble salmon fish cakes were delicious due to the infused dill. enjoy a...refreshing cloud bay pinot grigio.
While awaiting our ferry, we stopped in for a quick drink. I found the bartenders to be helpful and knowledgable. Definitely a great spot for a drink any time of day. Can’t comment on the food as we did not eat but we glanced at the menu and it seemed appealing. I would go back to try the food!
