Update March 2024. Came back in February 2024 to try this place one more time. This time we avoided repeating the dishes we got last time and ordered different dishes. One thing I forgot to mention in previous review was their home made bread. It is delicious! The second time we had better luck with the dishes but still found the portions to be extra small and much smaller that similar class restaurants of similar caliber within 7-10 mile radius. It is clear that this restaurant cares about their customers, interiors are lovely and the food quality is decent. If you are not very hungry or want to order 2 pasta entres to get full it might be a perfect place for you. We, however , likely won’t...
UPDATE: The manager sent me a gift certificate to come back and try the restaurant again. I did and it was wonderful. The service, as before was outstanding and the food was delicious and beautiful. I hereby declare my previous experience as a fluke. Update 3.15.24 JC The restaurant is lovely and the service was great but the halibut was such a disappointment. It was tough and dry, completely overcooked, I left most of it on the plate. Also, very strange but there was nothing else on the plate, just two hunks of overcooked fish. Not sure if this was a bad night or if this is their regular treatment of fish.
We had early reservations, the place was not busy yet and still, know it was our anniversary , they wanted to seat us in the far back dark corner. I asked for another table and they did seat us at a vacant table for two at the window. The food was really poor. Salads nothing special. Used the same lettuce for all salads listed. They do not know what a bolognese sauce is. Their version is tasteless. Their pasta was horribly over cooked and mushy. We have been to Italy numerous times and no Italian, North or South, would ever serve this and be proud. Over cooked, under seasoned, over priced. Won’t return.
This restaurant is incredible! We enjoyed an outdoor meal on the patio, and despite being located on a busy street, the atmosphere was surprisingly pleasant. The food was outstanding—fresh and bursting with flavor. The staff was exceptionally friendly and provided great recommendations for all of our courses. Be sure to try the coconut panna cotta with strawberry rhubarb sauce for dessert; it’s the perfect way to end your meal. Luci Ancora is definitely a place you should visit for any occasion. We discovered this restaurant by chance, and we couldn't be happier about it. The food was incredible, making it an ideal spot for a date night or a nice dinner with friends. My date opted for the daily four-course tasting menu, while I enjoyed pasta and Caesar salad, and every single bite was outstanding. Our server was not only friendly but also entertaining! We had a fantastic experience and will definitely be returning.
Just the best place! We love the staff here, it is family owned and run, and they have been so wonderful each time we visit! We had our wedding reception here during the height of COVID and they worked to make it just as special as our precious venue would have been! We have our extended family Christmas party here each year as well and the food and atmosphere is wonderful every time!
This is the best Italian food I've ever had! It practically melts in your mouth! Bridgette made our dining experience truly enjoyable! We can't wait to return as soon as possible! Be sure to order the ravioli with short rib—it's amazing! A very charming place!
