I've driven by this restaurant countless times but never gave a moment's thought to going in. Last week, my friend's family invited me to go along with them for lunch. They told me I would definitely enjoy it. I was impressed the instant I walked in. The pristine white table cloths were a delight, the ambiance soft, cozy, and welcoming. Everything was sparkling and very clean. The server and the owner were friendly, attentive, and eager to please. Hungover and needing something to fill the void, a friend suggested we meet her at Lucky's. Thank god. Their chinese food was fantastic. Canadian style, but homemade, it all tasted like more. I'm a little spoiled because I live in Vancouver, so lots of amazing Chinese food around, but if this place was open in my neighbourhood, I'd be poor from eating there every night. We all had lunch specials, everything was fantastic, and get this you guys -- the eggrolls are HOME MADE! Same with the plum sauce!!!!!!!!!!!We went away very happy and full, and the hit to the wallet wasn't too bad! Will def go back.
We regularly treat ourselves to Chinese food at Lucky's. The staff are very friendly, the food is great (you can ask for low MSG) and the food is always consistent. Dining in the restaurant you will receive a plum sauce for your egg roll that is made on site and not out of the package. We order Lucky Dinner A and the portion is considerable. We also on occasion order the same meal as take-out for night I don't feel like cooking and you get the same great meal.
We had luckys on a Sunday tonight. We had it as takeout and found it was extremely expensive. The total cost of the meal was $200 for six of us. It was supposed to be for the kids as well (1 teenager and 3 under 10) but there wasn't enough so we ended up getting them McDonalds. The food itself was good but by no means worth the price. There is much better and cheaper options. I'd suggest canton on the east end of the city.

This place is a forgotten gem. The meals are prepared to order , no nasty buffet with warming dishes here. Your meals are HOT HOT when you get them. Service is fast and very friendly. Food is awesome but bring a large appetite because portions are huge
We ordered as takeout, which we initially debated because it's pricier than the average Chinese restaurant/takeout in St. John's. Glad we tried this place, delicious and fresh Chinese food that wasn't greasy. Definitely recommend.
I've eaten here a few times and the food is always great! If you go, try the Cantonese beef steak! The staff has been very friendly and service is great. I highly recommend Lucky's if you're looking for Chinese food in the area.
This restaurant is situated on Topsail Road, Mount Pearl. When it opened the portions served were very good but as the time has passed the portions have got smaller and sometimes the food is not that hot

Good food. Fresh . Love their egg rolls with homemade plum sauce . Good variety on menu . It's not as cheap as some other local Chinese restaurants but you won't leave disappointed .
it was clean and nice Chinese restaurant in St.John's. so different from other Chinese dining especially wontang soup was so good. staffs are friendly and table and dishes are clean.
