We visited this restaurant for dinner and were impressed by the beautiful presentation of all the dishes. We started with the hot smoked salmon terrine, followed by the crispy duck salad and orcchietti with Tuscan fennel sausage. Each dish was unique and had a perfect balance of flavors. It was truly a delightful experience. We also loved the Thistly Cross Scottish cider. We highly recommend this place, and suggest making a reservation in advance as it can get busy.
Hands down best meal we have had in Scotland to date. Food was superb as well as the service. Very attentive but not overly in your face. Food was fresh and well prepared. Mussels as an appetizer was very taste and well done with the garlic cream sauce not overpowering. Chicken Risotto was tender and delicious. Desert of course was sticky toffee pudding we are in Scotland) was very tasty. Wish we found it earlier- would have sampled their entire menu….
Incredible experience! I enjoyed the fresh mussels in a creamy wine and garlic sauce, followed by the crispy duck salad and crumble cake for dessert. The service was friendly, attentive, and charming. This restaurant offers some of the best food I have ever tasted, and I have traveled extensively. I highly recommend dining here if you are in Dornoch. Absolutely delicious.
We had a fantastic experience from the moment we entered the restaurant! The wait staff was attentive, the decor had a beachy vibe, and the food was excellent - from the cheddar soufflé to the mussels my husband loved, and his delicious lobster tail. Lovely restaurant in Dornoch. Excellent food and service. The evening menu had great choices and nothing disappointed. The main courses were exceptional and the plum and almond desert was stunning.
The prices were greatly increased from those on the website so it was very expensive. About £50 per person. My food wasn't well cooked as I'd asked so I had to send it back.
My wonderful dish was Prawn Linguine but I had food envy for everyone else's dish. Great service, fresh cooked food and stunning location.

"Liver and onions was creamy and tasty. This is a quiet small hotel restaurant and a very nice menu. The sticky toffee pudding was unfortunately store bought and just average but enjoy the main course."
