Visited with friends, who know the owners and arranged a table for us, which can be a tricky affair as this place is always busy. It's BYO, and there's a BWS about 50 metres back up the road, next door to the Queens Tavern where we had pre pizza beers. BWS had a lovely Rioja on special, two for $30 and it was a perfect drop to compliment our pizzas. There are two sizes of pizza available, 16" and 22" and they happily make them half and half. The girls shared a 16" with mix of two vegetarian options, but us boys decided to go with 22"! Bit mad just for two, but had to be done, and a takeaway box was required. I was intrigued as this place kept popping up in my facebook feed and we had to give it a whirl. The staff were very friendly and they do table service which is a very nice touch. The atmosphere is fun and eclectic. We started off with the "mozzarella ella ella sticks" which were absolutely amazing. The outer crumb was seasoned and by far the tastiest cheese sticks I have ever encountered. We ordered a half and half 16" which was half "the honky" and half "pepperoni" was absolutely delicious. We ordered pizza on a Friday evening, and anticipated that we'd have to wait a while for our food. We were warned that the wait was around 1.5hrs (which, when ordering at 7.30, was already a long wait), however the pizza didn't arrive until after 9.30 by which time we were past wanting to eat!The pizza was DELICIOUS, definitely one of the best I've had. We had the pepperoni one and let me tell you it's even good reheated the next day!Hopefully with some more delivery drivers on board next time the wait will be shorter!
The Beaufort St precinct has been crying out for a decent pizza place after being overrun by Mexican places over the last few years and Mack Daddy's smashes it out of the park. The pizzas are massive and great value when feeding a family or group. They happily do half and half so you can try the different flavours. They have great sides too. The true new York experience without flying there is right in perth in the form of Beaufort Street. The pizza sizes are huge and you can get traditional American drinks there too! My boyfriend and I will be back to hopefully tackle the 22 inch pizza or even one of the giant slices that mack daddy's offers
Had to try it out for myself and was pleasantly surprised. One slice is a meal for me, loaded with topping with no skimping. Will definitely be coming back again and again.
Awesome staff and the pizza are not only big but taste awesome too! although definitely a place you need to book in advance due to their popularity.
