I always make it a point to visit this place whenever I come back to Montana. I was glad to see it was quite busy, which is usually a good indication of quality. We were seated promptly, and the service was fantastic. I was excited to find Cold Smoke on tap, which complemented the pizzas we ordered perfectly. However, there was a bit of an issue with the nachos this time—they arrived about ten minutes after the pizza and didn’t quite meet the high standards I’ve come to expect from MRP. Nonetheless, it’s still a great place, and I will definitely be coming back.
The atmosphere was enjoyable, and the service was outstanding. I appreciated how quickly they refilled our soda. Overall, the food was quite delicious. My only complaint was that both the pizzas and lodgepoles were very greasy—extremely greasy, in fact. Despite this, they had great flavor. I even had to drain the grease from my two slices of pizza, and there was enough to form a puddle on the plate. The Thai Pie pizza stood out as particularly tasty. I would definitely think about returning.
The lunch special was very appealing, offering a choice between half a sandwich or a small pizza, along with a salad or another appetizer. I thoroughly enjoyed the spinach salad; it was delicious and satisfying, topped with candied pecans and dried cranberries. The only downside was the delay in getting my salad, which I suspect was due to staffing shortages. However, I'm looking forward to trying it again, as the location is really convenient.
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was bland and lacking flavor, so I won't be coming back. The pretzel breadsticks were the only decent thing on the menu, but the queso dip was a strange mix that just didn't work with the beer cheese. Overall, not a good combination at all.
