I would think eating warm hearty noodle soup on a hot summer day would not be a good idea but I was wrong! Went on a Saturday, their special is Goji lamb noodle soup and lamb crepe for $10 each. So so worth it! Soup is so flavorful, lots of meat, noodles taste freshly made and chewy. Decent veggies and toppings. I was going to slurp the soup the whole bowl but I was so full! The lamb crepe is very fulfilling, crunchy, lamb is full of spices and marinate and the crepe is egg crepe I believe. They cut the crepe in half for us as they see we are company of 2, nice gesture. Picked up lunch here today! I had an appointment near by and on the walk back I thought the sound of a BBQ pork crepe would be a fun thing to try, and I was right. The first couple of bites are just okay but this crepe is HUGE and as you work towards the middle and end the flavour and texture combinations are incredible. 100/10 on the mouth feel, wow.I also bought the braised beef noodle soup to eat later, and it heated up wonderfully on my stove at home! I really appreciate that they put the spicy oil on the side so I could control my spice levels. I definitely think the crepes have my heart however, and can't wait to come back and try more flavours next time I'm downtown!
3rd visit here, now. I'm a happy customer. I think this is a great place for people who might be wary of eating in Chinatown. This is the place to be introduced to homey, stick-to-your ribs food you eat with chopsticks. It's clean. It's very welcoming. And it's really well done. Set a high bar !So, make this the place where you're introduced to eating shellfish with the head on, and grilled gizzards, and whole squid. Go nuts :D
Excellent noodle soup; got the special of the day (goji lamb noodle soup) so it was only $10. Lots of meat in the bowl, enjoyed the noodles and broth too. Totally forgot to take pictures but the food was excellent! We were headed to another Chinese restaurant but we saw someone pulling noodles in the window and decided to go in. We had Tepanyaki Chicken noodle soup, chow mien, chicken rice bowl and popcorn chicken, all *chef’s kiss*
Solid noodle spot that has some great daily specials. I tried the Tuesday special, braised beef noodle soup, which was ready in a quick 15 minutes and tasted great. Noodles had good texture, portions were big, beef was tender and flavourful, and the broth was hot and fragrant.
Please put spicy pepper symbols on your rice bowl menu. I ordered the braised pork and i thought it is non spicy as there was no pepper symbol. I could not eat my food since my mouth is burning after 2 spoonfuls. So unfortunate... i just ate cookies for dinner in the end.
