Very solid middle eastern restaurant with exceptional hummus, pitas, and lots of goodies to go (in their store). Bit out of the way but worth the drive. Not usually a salad guy (and most places highly overrate their salad) but this place?s ?parallel salad? has to be one of the best salads in the city. Really well balanced and well seasoned with kale, green onions, lentils, feta, sweet potatoes, etc. They also have some of the best pitas and hummus around- you can purchase these to take home at their store inside (pitas both fresh and frozen) and stockpile these for late night munchies. What a hidden gem! The pictures do not do this place justice. The food was absolutely delicious with a wide variety of vegetarian options. We tried the Sabich Hummus, the Falafels, and the Parallel Salad. The flavors were complex and the vegetables were fresh. The addition of mint and lime in the salad and eggplant and garlic in the hummus were great touches. The bill for lunch for two people came out to $35 per person including tip. The server was also very friendly. The interior had a beautiful ambiance with bright skylights. The outdoor seating area was enclosed and well-maintained. It was a vibrant and relaxing spot to dine at. We would definitely come back again!
Israel lands seriously in Toronto. Parallel has one of the best collections of Middle Eastern food. First, you must have one of the two salads. They are both massive and full of taste. No meal is complete without the hummus and the selection is perfect from traditional to adventure with a truffle hummus. When it comes to falafel, you hit the jackpot with one of the best falafels I had for years. The crunch and the amount of parsley is from the hook. Finishing the food, you have to try the Babka. The cinnamon and nourishes a litter. Once you finish this meal, you need to enjoy a Turkish coffee or mint tea and talk how amazing this meal meets home.
Amazing vegetarian friendly find! Two of us shared the lemon pesto walnut dip, (several to choose from) delicious mushroom mix pita, and super tasty parallel salad (enough to take some home). Everything fresh. I had a chai latte which was yummy (but not hot enough). Lots of drink options. Friendly service. Casual trendy industrial setting inside (open kitchen) and covered patio out front. They take reservations. They do take out and lots of treats available to take home from quiche to cookies, spices, and their tahini of course! Some recipes on their web site. Mostly accessible. Such a positive experience! Greeted by such kind wait staff who were very accommodating of my request for a quieter table further from the speakers. The heated patio is divine! Of note, it does have plastic walls so it is not truly open open for those being extra covid cautious. The four dips were amazing!! The walnut pesto is a must try. The knafeh and shakshuka were both delicious and cooked to perfection. The pita served with are so soft. The Turkish coffee comes with halva! The cookie was delish and the date molasses give a fun acid flavor. Highly recommend
My girlfriend brought me here today and I have to admit inside felt kind of like an industrial kitchen, however the vibe totally worked and was super unique! The food was very pretty to look at, alot of bright colors and flavors that popped in my mouth. Our server was knowledgeable and gave us excellent recommendations. I'm definitely bringing my husband back to try this place. What a hidden gem! And the price was really great, we shared two entries and two appetizers for around 80 bucks.
The food was pretty good and the service was excellent and friendly. The heated terrace had a high ceiling and felt really spacious. I liked the Casual Vibe a lot and it is one of the few restaurants in the area with high-quality food that opens at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

The best hummus! as well as all other delicious items on their menu. Fluffiest pitas. Huge Falafel! Many vegetarian / vegan and GF options. Many meals and dives also available.
