My sister, brother-in-law, partner, and I, all celebrating turning 50 this year, visited this restaurant together. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was fantastic. There was another 50th birthday party happening, and with the football game on, the place was bustling and lively. It's clear that this pub is very popular, and it is dog and family-friendly. It's the perfect spot for celebrating special occasions. I would definitely come back here for another evening. Thank you for such a warm welcome during our visit.
We went to this restaurant for lunch with high expectations due to the positive reviews we had seen. The atmosphere of the pub was wonderful and seemed like a great place for drinks. However, we were disappointed with the sandwiches we ordered. The steak onion ciabatta was not toasted and the steak was very chewy. The club deli sandwich was missing several ingredients as listed on the menu, including pickle, salami, and spicy cheese sauce. We understand that they may have been out of these items, but it would have been appreciated to be informed beforehand.
This is a lovely dog friendly pub and a great asset to the area. As a local resident we visit quite often but I have to make a negative comment about the outdoor space and seating eating areas. They are absolutely filthy and we felt very uncomfortable sitting eating our food and ended up moving inside. The back seating area doesn’t look like it’s not been fully cleaned in a long time. Cobwebs and dirt all over the floor ceiling tables sticky. A good hose down and disinfectant is needed.
This restaurant excels in every aspect. It has a fantastic location, with lovely walks nearby, and is completely dog-friendly. The menu is extensive and caters to a variety of tastes. There are indoor and outdoor dining options, with some covered areas. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a traditional pub. The staff are exceptional, the food is delicious and expertly prepared, all at a reasonable price. What more could you ask for?

The Maltings is situated in a picturesque area, the staff are friendly efficient and welcoming. The food is delicious and portions are generous, you will not leave this hostelry hungry!!It’s competitive in price and clean. Private booths are available to sit inside or out. Although it was busy there was not a long wait for the food. Well worth a visit.
Went for lunch today. Had a really yummy meal, it was huge! Doggies are welcome inside and can have meals ordered for them. So many different doggies. What a wonderful experience. Thanks to Jen who really ensured we were looked after and was very attentive.
The maltins breakfast was the best breakfast I have ever had the customer service is excellent quality especially Jimmy the manager and Debbie and Lauren as well wouid highly recommended maltins breakfast menu to anyone the best breakfast ever
Came on the back of a recommendation from a friend who lives local to the pub. Great Sunday lunch for both us adults and the two kids. Really tasty and good value too. Fab service aswell! Will definitely be back
