I initially hesitated to go to Mamie's because there was a long line stretching out of the parking lot, onto the street, around the corner, and down the adjacent street. My boyfriend gave me a hard time about it, jokingly guilt-tripping me and insisting that any place with such a long line must be worth it. Eventually, due to a traffic delay caused by an accident, we ended up back at Mamie's. Instead of waiting in the drive-thru line, we got out and stood in the walk-up line. The customer service was excellent, with the counter staff being efficient, friendly, and transparent about how busy they were. Dine-in seating is not available but you can go inside to order. The drive-thru had a long line. Inside ordering is fast and I didn?t have a long wait for my food. I sat outside in my car to eat and was surprised to see that they put everything from utensils, condiments and napkins in the bag. The food tasted fresh and was hot. Hot enough that the butter melted in its container! I also enjoyed the grits because they were creamy and didn?t taste like salt. It is verygood food that is inexpensive.
Always wanted to try this establishment. Every time I passed by the line be extra long and YEARS later I finally tried was highly disappointed. Definitely NOT all the hype. It tasted like mom’s tried type of plate. Worst part was they was out of salmon. My whole reason for even ordering
The first two pictures were of an egg, cheese, and bacon biscuit that I picked up before 9 AM. The last picture was taken around 11 AM and there was a big difference in taste and quality (disappointed). It shows in the picture. I recommend going early to get the best quality of food. The buttermilk pancakes at this restaurant are fantastic! They are soft, fluffy, and warm. My online order was accurate and ready for pick-up as soon as I walked in. Everything was prepared exactly as I requested on the website. I will definitely be returning for more.

This place gives me, I don't trust my employee vibes. An employees act as if they're scared to disappoint master . Seriously it's strange!
