I visited Mandalay today and ordered a plate for $8.99, which ended up costing me $15. When I placed my order, I specifically requested white rice. The server checked the pot and found there was none, so she went to the back to get more. She then served the rice on my plate and handed it to me. However, when I sat down to eat, I discovered that the rice was cold. I went back to inform them about the cold rice, and they suggested fried rice instead, even though I had requested white rice. I asked for a refund, but they refused, saying I would need to speak with the manager. It was a complete waste of my money and time, and I will not be returning.
I went at 11 AM on a Thursday hoping that the food would be hot and fresh. I got a combo plate with fried rice, pineapple chicken, and Mandalay chicken as well as an order of crab wontons. The chicken was warm but the rangoons were not. The crab rangoon tasted pretty good despite being cold – I tasted garlic but no crab, which is fine by me. Both chicken dishes were just okay. The meat was a little stringy but not as bad as some of the other restaurants in the area. Overall, if I’m at the West County Mall food court and in the mood for Asian food, I think I’ll stick with Panda Express.
Hands down the best thing at this food court. You can get well over a meal for less than $5 if you order their side boxes, the white ones with the prices written on them in sharpie. The mandalay chicken is incredible! Love this business and love supporting it. The staff are also so kind and friendly!
The food was excellent; I ordered the Mandalay Chicken and fried rice. However, the service left much to be desired. The mother working there was quite rude, while her daughter was very quiet. I even got teased for mispronouncing "Mandalay." Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Ramen Bowls are advertised but absolutely no mention or photos of fish unless ordered with it. Absolutely unsafe for someone with seafood allergies!! Very disappointed.
The dish was priced at about $16 for the noodles with shrimp, but it only came with three or four shrimp. That's quite disappointing and feels a bit greedy.
Try the spicy tonkatsu. Big portions of pork and noodles. Flavorful broth. Yeah, it's the food court at the mall not a fancy restaurant so I get takeout.
