I feel like the reviews for this place were very deceptive. To make a long story short, it wasn’t worth the drive or the price. If you’re used to good, authentic peruvian food- this place comes dead last. The ceviche was warm, lacked salt and the sweet potato was sour. The chupe de camarones- shrimp soup, was underwhelming and wasn’t a chupe of camarones at all. It was missing all the key components of what that soup is. I personally ordered ahí de gallina and a jalea de mariscos- fried seafood. There are some things you can’t mess up on because of how easy they are to make and ahi de gallina is one of them. Unfortunately, one of my favorite dishes tasted like it was made with a salty seafoo...
I have been wanting to try this place for about 3 months. Found a dinner date for today, who cancelled out on me before I left work. I called an order in for Spanish rice with steak veggies and 2 papa Rellenas before I left work, and picked up on way home. I had stopped ordering out a few years ago because I'm tired of paying for bad food. Well....let me state loud enough for the people in the back....I WILL BE ORDERING EVERY SATURDAY. The ordering was great, the service was great, the food is GREAT. This is a hidden gem, and I highly recommend.
Buenos Dias y Oh What A Great Culinary Experience Enjoyed at Mango's ?? Cafe (literally next to the Manila ??? Cafe enjoyed a week ago) such an Extensive Menu of Sheer Peruvian Food Goodness but Since was My 1st Visit Went with the Grilled Chicken with Spanish Rice Beans plus a Side of Tostones and a Mango Banana Strawberry Smoothie with Ice Cream All Onolicious and WAY Too Much to Eat in 1 Sitting So Plenty of Leftovers to Enjoy. Highly Recommend a Visit to All
I requested no pork for religious reasons, but my order arrived with bacon bits. Despite explaining that pork isn't permissible for me, they refused to correct the order. What a delightful surprise! This charming little restaurant truly impressed me. The food was exceptional! I really appreciated the inclusion of photos with the menu. It’s a fantastic way to introduce diners to a delicious cuisine that they might not be familiar with!
The food is outstanding, and the staff is incredibly friendly. While the dining area is a bit small, it’s clean, and we were able to secure a table. Everyone loved their meals. The portions are generous at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this place!
Please update your menu prices. I was quite surprised to discover that the menus we were given didn't reflect the actual prices of the food. The dishes were extremely overpriced, and the beans were served cold.
