Mannino's Italian Bistro Kempsville

I will preface this review by noting we are fairly discerning when it comes to Italian food. I will state the food was very good and we will definitely return for future meals. The same cannot be said for a few others who did not make the grade. First we had the Kalahari which was enough for 4 people and wa tender and not greasy. It was the best calamaribwe have had in years. My wife had the Shrimp Fradiavalo and in had the Chichen Portifino. Both were great. The decor is nothing to shout about but the food more than made up for it.

OMG! I thought I had tasted a magnificent Crab soup in the past but it pales in comparison to the crab soup at Mannino 's!! The lighter fare selections was where I found my dinner coice of Scampi Della Casa . For those who prefer smaller portions and not skimp on taste and flavor, this is a delicious meal. My son introduced me to this restaurant and I am so delighted that he did!! Service: Dine in

Nice Italian meal. Everything was good except my French Onion Soup, which had been so delicious in the past. The soup lacked the marsala wine flavor and the bread was stale. My husband's She Crab Soup was stellar, and it is award winning! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
