Terrible food dont come here. Went out for dinner with the husband using a scoopon. The restaurant was quite empty when we got there (Thursday night). We ordered the vegetarian samosas and onion bhaji for entrees, butter chicken and lamb saag for mains, garlic naan for sides and rice pudding chocolate ice cream for dessert. All the food was really disappointing (except maybe the chocolate ice cream which probably came out of a peters ice cream tub). The entrees were soggy (think laden with oil and not crunchy at all), the butter chicken was not authentic at all, it just had a rather sweet red sauce with pieces of chicken cubes swimming around in it, and the naan was thick slabs of oily heavy...
All Good. I really don't understand this restaurant's poor rating. We had dinner at the Mantra last night. Upon entering the first thing I noted was the fresh white table cloths and napkins so many eateries these days don't bother with these and the well spaced tables. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant: our meals came out in a timely fashion, and the food we ordered was fresh and tasty. I don't want or need more than that when I eat out. Parking right at the door was nice bonus. My friends and I will definitely be back.
I purchased a Groupon deal for this restaurant, but they remained closed and their phone was disconnected for the entire duration of the voucher's validity. I've been trying to make a reservation since April, calling for 2-3 months, and each time I reached out, they promised they would reopen in a couple of weeks. By June, their phone was completely turned off. This feels like fraud. Be cautious of this restaurant if you come across their offers on Groupon in the future.
I loved it! We went to celebrate my sister's birthday and decided to try this restaurant for the first time. I'm so glad it didn’t disappoint. The service was excellent, and the food was fantastic!
