Absolutely horrible experience here. Extremely rude and unprofessional front desk staff. Zero accommodation was made for my 92 year old grandfather who was traveling business class and had the access of this lounge included in his absolutely RIDICULOUS price. He was unable to access the lounge as he was wheelchair bound and wanted one of us to accompany him and the front desk completely refused. Zero compassion, Zero customer service. They wanted us to pay 60$ if we wanted to help my grandpa. Absolutely shameful. Replace checkin staff (especially the bold headed arrogant guy in a mask named Charles) and it will be an OK lounge.Terrible first impression topped off with below average cleanliness and untrained staff.Quick tip to management staff talking out loud next to the buffet bar that dishwashers aren’t working and they COULDNT properly clean the cutlery is not just a turn off. It questions management competency to run the place.Air Canada lounge operations team this is particular lounge is a shame. There’s Air Canada Cafe in the same airport that is 10000x better. Please do necessary changes to make international lounge on par with the rest.
This is by far the worst airport lounge I have ever experienced. The bathrooms are absolutely dreadful—every stall was falling apart, held together with tape, and the paint was peeling off the walls. The food looked unappetizing, and hardly anyone seemed to be eating it. Finding power outlets near the seating was nearly impossible, and the seats themselves were uncomfortable. On a positive note, at least one of the staff members who checked me in was friendly. However, the floor was a mess with food scattered everywhere. It's really unacceptable that this place is operating in such a condition.
Rude service by incompetent staff at check-in. Impossible to speak to a manager after 40 minutes because he/she is too busy and “this is a big airport” according to the staff. The food and drinks options are very limited for a premium lounge. On top of all that, the front desk staff tried to sabotage our trip further by leaving derogatory remarks on our boarding pass to prevent us from boarding our flight!!! Terrible customer service. There are always so many people, so if you’re coming here to chill, don’t do it. The lady near the buffet was so rude for no reason. All I asked her was do you guys have any chips or snacks for kids? And she responded in a very rude tone, “no, we don’t have that kind of stuff here”. They also had very limited options, and everything was almost completely gone. It was ridiculous. What’s the point of even being in a lounge?
The lounge is perfectly fine with plenty of comfortable seating. It offers genuine food and drinks, not just snacks. I was hoping for a bit more from an AC lounge at a flagship airport, though. The most annoying aspect was the people having phone conversations in the area designated as no phone conversations. However, that’s not the fault of AC.
Decent food. Self-serve bar with a nice selection. Be advised This lounge closes at 23:30; however, food alcohol begins being closed down from 22:30 onwards! Many-a-folks were thrown off by this.Try the chocolate cookies with white morsels. Delish!
