Wonderful place, tasty consistent every time! Great sandwiches, coffees, and lunch combos. For the person complaining about pricing going up- WHATEVER. Sandwiches are $6 bucks, dinner combos are $11. I don't know where you're getting anything of decent quality any cheaper than that. This is a small family owned operated business, gimme a break. Food costs labor costs have gone up during Covid, you'd have to be living under a rock not to know that. To leave a poor review on a small business for (supposedly) raising their extremely fair prices is shameful. My family and I used to visit this restaurant very frequently, but after our latest experience, we won't be back. We ordered three sandwiches—two steak and one chicken—along with three coffees, and the bill came to $42! How can anyone afford breakfast at these prices? I recommend you check out Cafe Marianao on Narragansett and Addison instead, where their steak sandwiches are still just $7! They manage to keep their prices reasonable, while Marcela's charges a staggering $12 per sandwich. It feels like price gouging at its worst. To make matters worse, the sandwiches aren't as good as they used to be; they're just mediocre for such a high price. We definitely won't be returning.
Marcela's Cafeteria has become one of my favorite places to eat! I can never fault their service; the food is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere is always warm and inviting. I highly recommend this charming little restaurant, which outshines many larger ones!

The service was excellent, the prices were very reasonable, and the food was delicious. The iced coffee was refreshing and light, just like the egg and cheese sandwich. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming!
The food is absolutely delicious! It's very affordable too! The staff treats you like family, which is wonderful! They're amazing! And I have to mention that Thomas makes the best café con leche!
