I usually don’t write negative reviews, but our experience at Mardi Gras Seafood tonight was incredibly disappointing. My wife and I ordered 5 pounds of crab and 2 pounds of shrimp to share, and the other couples dining with us had similar problems with their meals. The food was poorly seasoned, overcooked, and some of the seafood even had mud on it. Normally, when we order crab, we easily get 20-30 pounds, but we were not satisfied with this order at all. We let the cashier know, and while she apologized, it didn’t change our experience. After we got home, two out of four of us became ill, and the rest of us were feeling unwell, too. My wife and I ordered 5 pounds of crawfish and 2 pounds of shrimp to share, and a couple with us ordered the same. The food was underseasoned, severely overcooked, and quite dirty—literally still covered in mud on the bellies. Normally, we easily consume 20-30 pounds of crawfish, but we barely made a dent in this order. We informed the cashier and received a simple apology. By the time we got home, two of the four of us were sick, with the others feeling unwell shortly after. We contacted the manager, who said he would look into it. The food at Mardi Gras is truly outstanding. I love dining here, and my friends who recommended this local treasure were spot on. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Although the wait staff could be a bit more welcoming, overall it’s a fantastic place to enjoy a meal. If I could, I would give it ten stars. The cocktails on the menu are excellent as well. Hats off to the chefs and bar team for delivering such an amazing dining experience. Thank you!
Waiter was good, food was horrible! Boudin was pure grease. Fish was not cooked, fries where not done. Hush puppies where pure grease. When a 5 year old says I’m not eating that! That is bad. We didn’t eat anything, no one noticed or asked, we paid our 45.00 and left. Will not be back. This place use to be really good. Not sure what happen. Hope manger and owner is paying attention to reviews.

The food is delicious. I love eating there and my friends who pointed me to this local point made a great recommendation, I can not wait to eat there again, the waiting staff could be a little more friendly, but overall be a great place to be ten stars if I could.. The cocktails are great and kudos for the chefs and bar staff thank you for the ingenious culinary experience
Early dinner, 5pm on Friday evening. Super nice wait staff. Clean restaurant. The meal looked and tasted okay, but like regular home cooking. The corn on the cob was flat, not juicy. The cajun pineapple chicken breast was small and oddly shaped. I was hungry so I ate. The wait staff was terrific, food not so much.
The staff at this restaurant has difficulty understanding orders and often bring out the wrong dishes. When this happens, they tend to become rude and insulting. Unfortunately, this has happened on multiple occasions, including the most recent visit where I had to ask for utensils to eat with.
The service was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. If you're a fan of oysters, they offer large ones. I also tried the fried gator tail, and it tastes just like chicken.
