Starving! Told the missus, go get fish and chips. Kev the Rev recommends Margam Fish Bar. Well, I eat out regularly, take-aways far too often, and hadn't had our traditional Friday night fare for a while. A sure Revelation. Perfectly cooked to handle that timely journey. The quality for the price! Best value for money meal I have had in a while. I regularly have the Hake with chips in La Brasserie Swansea and this was far, far tastier. Prince of Wales the same. Could not recommend more. Well Done!
Last minute decision led us to Margam Fish Bar for some quick fish and chips, with a battered sausage thrown in. I must say, it was one of the best pieces of fish I've had in a while, with nice, flaky texture throughout. The chips were classic chip shop fare, with plenty of crispy bits at the bottom. Despite it being one of their busiest nights, the food was fantastic and at a great price. I would definitely recommend stopping by after a visit.
We visited this restaurant for the second time today in the last four weeks and once again, we were impressed with the excellent food. The fish and chips may not be the most affordable option, but the quality and portion size were fantastic. We will definitely stop by again when we are in the area in the future. There is plenty of parking available outside and the staff are very friendly and professional.
Had a delivery on 16 April at 5 o’clock. We had Donna kebab , fish and chips. The best we have had. Large kebab with salad was delicious. Fish was delicious and chips were also delicious. Was told it would take one hour and it was exactly that . Order was easy over phone, with very polite man . Delivery man was very polite . The food arrived hot . Highly recommend this fish bar . After searching for a fish chip shop in Port Talbot and finding lots closed, we ended up at this one. Staff were friendly and helpful, we didn’t wait long, there was a good menu selection, huge portion of chips (and we only ordered medium portions), prices were great, other food was freshly cooked, and all the food was tasty and not greasy at all. We’ll definitely return.
Ordered food as we usually do arrived in good time but was freezing bare in mind the fish shop is a 5 min drive. Rang the shop to express my food was cold the young girl who I spoke to was lovely very apologetic and said she would replace food. Next thing the phone goes the owners daughter in law came on phone asking for my food back which by this time was in the bin!
My wife and I both ordered fish and chips at this restaurant. Unfortunately, we were both disappointed with the quality of the fish and chips, as they tasted like leftovers from the night before. It felt like a waste of our hard-earned money, especially since we have had good food here in the past.
I ordered curry rice and chips from here and it was absolutely disgusting will never ever order from there again it was so dry how can curry be dry it was absolutely awful Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Worse fish and chips ever had batter soggy uncooked chips left overs and soggy this place has nothing going for it never to return.
