I used to love this place but won’t ever be returning. My family has enjoyed this restaurant for years. I called Wednesday and spoke with the receptionist and told her I want to make a reservation for 14 people. She said they don’t make reservations and I asked how does it work she said yall just come and we will seat yall. There would be a wait if they’re a lot of people and I said that’s fine. Fast forward to today (Saturday) it’s my actual birthday today and I invited my family, the staff had a rude attitude and could not accommodate 14 people and we had to sit on separate tables, which was fine but they where trying to force us to sit very tight. We showed up at 4pm…excited about the 4-6pm happy hour that’s advertised on the menu. Went to the bar area like the menu says, sit down asked the bartender about the happy hour, he says “they don’t have one”. We were confused and pointed out the advertisement on the menu, he said oh, well it’s a dollar off a regular frozen margarita. So don’t come here if you think they’re going to have a decent HH. We decided to go sit at a table to be more comfortable since there really isn’t a HH. We ordered drinks, my first one was a Spicy cucumber marg, it was pretty good. I'm used to a different type of Mexican food. Tex Mex is not my thing, but may be what someone else likes. Really wasn't expecting chili on the food. Thought more of a chili peppers type sauce vs actually chili. My mistake for assuming and not asking. Service was good. The Texas Torpedo or what ever they are called weren't great. The breading on outside good and crispy but he cheese filling was not melt and gooey. More set up and firm like a cheese stick taken right out of the refrigerator.

Carlos and Charlie's, are crazy good! It's already crowded most days. Enjoy. Parking: Parking lot is decent. Right now you can park on the street or across the street. It's in an offbeat location due to all the construction around it and change in roads and highways Parking: Parking is tight and not many spaces unless you park in the street.
Top notch place we have been going to for lunch, dinner or happy hour since 1984. Best and friendliest wait staff on the planet…excellent food and drinks. And fair prices!
