Thoroughly disappointed in this highly recommended restaurant.We ordered a variety of food Lobster Ravioli, Spinach Artichoke Dip, Imperial Salmon, Crab Cake Entree, Cajun Alfredo. All dishes had zero seasoning and were absolutely bland. Never in my life have I tasted crab that tastes of nothing. Not butter, not old bay, nothing. Mashed potatoes nothing. Decent, but not impressive. For the price, I feel they skimp out on the usuals. When ordering a $17 lasagna (actually $21 with the requested meat sauce), I’d expect a side salad or at least a piece of garlic bread. Received neither. In fact, the meat “sauce” for which I paid $4 extra was just some meatballs that I didn’t ask for… no sauce was on the lasagna at all. The wings came with no ranch or blue cheese, and no celery sticks. The lasagna was a bit bland, but decent. Just too expensive for what you get. They do have great lamb chops. I see some of the reviews for the food and I wonder if it’s just what they ordered because we were all thoroughly impressed with what we ordered. I got the dip sampler which was great. It had zesty cheese, eggplant dip, tzatziki and hummus. The pita bread was perfectly toasted! It all tasted delightful. The lamb was fresh and obviously charcoal grilled. It did take the waitress quite a while to come over but she was very apologetic and great. We got cheesy bread with marinara sauce too. This marinara sauce tasted like it was fresh made and not the factory manufactured pizza sauce. I honestly did not expect this place to be good at all based on the demographics and set up. The specials are first rate! Go on a Weds night and take advantage of the buttery steamed lobster with 2 sides or the generous lamb chop on Tues with 2 sides, including a beautiful Mediterranean salad with olive, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and feta. We enjoyed ours with a 1/2 price bottle of Chianti. There are many other great items on the regular menu. I had the myo salmon, done crispy on the outside, tender on the inside with a sweet and spicy Thai chili glaze. My meal was topped off with cinnamon topped homemade rice pudding.

Last night I ordered a Cobb salad with seared ahi tuna. It was delicious... however I've spent all morning throwing it up. Maintaining high standards of food safety is so important, especially when serving raw fish. Usually the food is great but this bout of food poisoning is unacceptable and why I can only leave three stars.
I enjoy coming to Maria's, however management need to invest in additional wait staff. Poor Bartender is doing his best to serve everyone, but truthfully extremely inconvenient for those on lunch break! I recommend going elsewhere if you don't have over an hour to spend at lunch. Lovely atmosphere; perfect place for romantic dinner altho totally family friendly. Nice for special occasions; equally good for casual lunch. Lots of menu options with something for anyone. Wonderful food and service!! EAT HERE ?
