After seeing many positive reviews, we were looking forward to having a hearty breakfast here at Maria’s in Borough market. The place was busy but we got a table for family of 4, pretty quickly. One of us ordered market breakfast and the rest had bacon baps. We had to ask for cutlery as it did not come with food. Our English breakfast tea came already made and very milky. On requesting for tea with a tea bag left in, the staff got the same tea back with a tea bag added. There was no brown sauce on the table. We requested the staff for this but the sauce never made its way to our table! Poor service with unhelpful staff. Won’t bother visiting again as plenty of other places around to eat with...
We visited this restaurant on a Saturday morning and were pleasantly surprised to find a table right away, unlike the Breakfast Club across the street which had a 30-minute virtual queue. You place your order at the counter, and I opted for a sausage and bubble roll while my wife chose the bacon and bubble. The roll was large, soft, and fresh, with well-seasoned and delicious bubble. I particularly enjoyed the Cumberland sausage. However, the coffee was a bit bland. The location is perfect for people-watching, and we enjoyed starting our tour of Borough Market here. We ended up spending over £20 on two sandwiches and hot drinks, which I felt was 25% too expensive for what we received.
I had the Borough Special breakfast at this lovely little cafe in the bustling Borough market. The sausages and bacon were particularly delicious and I also enjoyed the toast. Although tea/coffee and toast are not included in the meal, the quality of the toast is definitely worth adding on. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. The prices are higher than other cafes I've visited, but you do receive a generous portion. It's possible that the location of the cafe contributes to its higher prices compared to other cafes in London. I believe that tea/coffee and toast should be included in a full English breakfast, as many other cafes in the area do this.
Had seen some negative reviews on here, but decided to give it a go, and so glad we did. Arrived about 9.20 and ordered a bacon roll and a bacon and egg roll, with a tea and latte. The rolls were packed with bacon, which was not too salty. The egg was cooked to perfection also. Only one issue, my sister would have liked to add her own milk to the tea, as it was a bit too milky. This place is just the best. You know that thing where you can’t work out if you want a ‘dirty breakfast’ or a fancy one? This is the perfect mix of both. The menu you’d want from a proper brekky, but made with delicious ingredients plucked from Borough Market. Best of all worlds. Affordable and always delicious. Love this place.
I would like to express our special thanks for this last Royal breakfast experience we recieved minutes before to close our stay in London. We did not expect they honor that sign on the wall, made us feel part of the Royalty. We will definitely come back. I send all blessings and greetings from Cancun, Mexico.
Although we arrived a bit late, there was no issue as we were greeted with cheerful and helpful staff. We will definitely be trying the food on our next visit, which will be soon. The British cafe in this market should not be underestimated - it truly is a gem.

Such amazingly friendly people! Food is nice a freshly cooked for your order. the chips are some of the best. If you want a good easy lunch after walking around London then visit here.
