I visited Mario's for the first time on St. Joseph's Day, specifically craving their Sfingi. They were truly among the best I've ever tasted. It's evident when a restaurant has a genuine passion for their craft, as they take the time to do things right. The Sfingi was light, eggy, and incredibly fresh. The cannoli cream was smooth and just the right level of sweetness. Everything was perfectly balanced—the cherries, citron, and powdered sugar all came together beautifully to create a delightfully perfect treat! My dad is a big fan of fruit tart cakes, and they can be quite difficult to find. On Father's Day, I decided to call this place to see if they could help, and to my delight, they said they could prepare one fresh for me. It was ready in just half an hour! The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, clearly dedicated to ensuring a wonderful experience for their customers. The shop was very clean and offered a variety of other delicious bakery treats as well. Overall, I would give my experience a perfect 10/10, and I definitely plan to return for future cakes and desserts! Even though it's a 25-minute drive for me, it's absolutely worth it.
They offer a wide variety of pastries, cookies, cakes, and bread, among other treats. The cranberry muffin was rich and not overly sweet, filled with juicy cranberries. The brownie was a classic recipe studded with walnuts, using bitter chocolate and butter instead of cocoa powder—definitely the best I've had in ages.
I also enjoyed a traditional almond horn dipped in high-quality dark chocolate, along with a delectable apple tart that melted in my mouth and had a delightful butterscotch aftertaste.

Cookies were good, but the cake we ordered for a birthday was a bit dry. There was also some confusion regarding picking up items that were ordered ahead of time. When I ordered the cake mentioned, the owner told me to just skip the line on the day of pick up and go straight to the register. On the day of pick up, the counter staff told me and another person picking up an order that we'd have to wait in line. I get it was the day before Thanksgiving but you may want to put up some signage to make your policies clearer for customers and staff.

This place is the best bakery I’ve been to in 50 years. I live 25 minutes away and drive past 3 others. I don’t understand how someone could have a bad experience here, much less how someone who supposedly did would waste their time bothering to write something negative. Just don’t go back and forget about rescuing the rest of us. A sad person who would be so unhappy in their own life that they hope to hurt a person who dedicates their life to working in their own business
Been wanting to visit for quite some time and finally stopped in for a small box of cookies. They were simply amazing. The ricotta cookies were absolutely the best I have ever had. The lemon drop cookies were also outstanding. Great lemon taste without that thick sugary layer of icing too many have. I will most definitely be back to try some other items as soon as possible.
This is a very good pasticceria. My family and I recently discovered this place, and it's become one of our favorites. Whenever we're in Babylon, we make it a point to go there. The bakery items are excellent, and theirs soups and Italian bread are fantastic! Best of all, it's a family run business, which you seldom see nowadays. Mom, dad, son all work there.
Very nice pastries for Christmas Eve. Cannolis are delicious, so are sfogliatelli. In Babylon Village, would recommend.
