The level of service provided was exceptionally poor, and the staff exhibited a notably unprofessional demeanor. Prior to our visit, we thoroughly examined the restaurant's website for any potential dress code requirements, but found no such guidelines. However, upon our arrival, dressed in sandals, we were unceremoniously asked to leave the premises, and to add insult to injury, we were informed that we would be charged $10 merely for the use of the restroom. First time had high hopes. Ordered appetizers within a few minutes of being seated after seeing reviews say food arrived slowly. Took 40 minutes to get two empanadas and grilled artichokes. The empanadas were VERY small at the cost of $6 each!!! We were so hungry waiting that we didn’t take pictures. Should have been twice the size or at least two for the price. They were very good, but not worth $6 each. We were so annoyed after the subpar artichokes and the very small empanadas and how long it took to get our food, we left after appetizers and wine. The ONE waiter (or owner for all I know) was so dismissive and could care less that we were not happy. We walked by this restaurant for years...
I love Maro's! As a local, this is my go-to spot for fresh, healthy dishes like the green beans and shishito peppers. The empanadas, especially the mushroom ones, are delicious. While I enjoy most of the entrées on the menu, my favorite is the bone-in filet—super yummy! The owners and staff are always on duty and aim to please, making you feel like family. The ambiance is great too, whether you choose to sit indoors or outdoors. For a more intimate setting, sitting indoors is perfect, but if you want to enjoy the fresh ocean breeze, the outdoor patio is the way to go.
average to below average. artichokes were dry, one steak was sent back, the other one was just okay. we let the server know when we got the bill, not because we expected anything taken off but rather just to give feedback. the server was rude and defensive. skip this place, you’d be better off at a bunch of other restaurants. a $72 steak should not be this low quality or small. i’ve had better steaks at cheesy chain restaurants

I was visiting from London with my friends from Mexico, and the staff member insisted we speak English, which felt quite rude. Additionally, our orders took a long time to arrive, and the food did not meet our expectations considering the price.
I just wanted to have a nice time and eat here after my visit to the beach but the really bad service from this waiter was very bad he was very rude and annoying the food was very bad too definitely not coming back
The food was incredible! It was one of the best meals I've had in quite some time. Be sure to save room for dessert—it's a must!
This is a hidden gem in Laguna. Amazing food, great service and atmosphere. Can’t go wrong with literally anything on the menu.
