The pineapple swirl is a bit expensive but far better than what Disney serves. Yes, it is good. I was surprised by the simple dressing they use for the green salad, it was tasty same as the macaroni salad, creamy and fresh.. The teriyaki sauce was nice, really nice. The overall BBQ were yummy, and as a family we really enjoyed the rib the most, then beef. Pitifully chicken were on the dry side but the sauce were made to enhance the chicken meat for sure. I can't stress
Good food can be extraordinarily good, eliciting good memories. In the case of Matiki Island BBQ, it fell WAY short of the meals I experienced while living in Hawaii. While the Chicken teriyaki (left) had a good taste, the chicken was dry. The Macaroni salad was my most anticipated item of this meal; as I loved it in the ubiquitous Hawaiian Plate Lunch meal from The Rainbow Drive-in in Waikiki. This fell short too. This place is authentic Hawaiian from staff to food decor all Hawaiian theem the chef I believe his name is Jose he looks Hawaiian but wonderful and pleasant the girl is new but polite and pleasant the food is good but beef ribs were little to fatty but fat tastes good. The cook invited me back which is unheard of I wish they have Dole whip con would be great .I recommend this place
This place is the best!! The service was fast, the workers were friendly, and the atmosphere was light and cheerful! I'm actually kinda blown away by how things went! This was a really good spot to eat. The portion I got was absolutely massive, and the guys up front were super nice and friendly. I guess the only criticism I have of this spot is that Hawaiian Mac salad should most definitely not have potatoes in it
Awesome all around! Huge portion with Combo #6 Short Ribs Chicken!Great ambiance w/ Hawaiian music. Large seating capacity. Kind service. I recommend Matiki to everyone!
Beef Ribs are delicious!! the combo plates are about $15 depending the meat you get ...but they do have mini plates would definetly come back 10/10?
