Joining other well-known names like Zeus, Three Blue Ducks and Messina to the area, Max Brenner have opened up shop in the Rosebery end of Alexandria in Doody street, under their head office and distribution center. The staff are incredibly friendly but Im sad to see the coffee is over extracted and bitter, and the giant truffles aren't so giant anymore. Feel like Max Brenner is a little overrated. They do have lots of menu options (expensive prices) and some things are overly sweet. Cookies and cream shake is good if you want something cold to satisfy your dessert cravings, and tutti frutti waffles tend to be good as well.
Smaller than the usual ones in the city, this one is right in the heart of Newtown, perfect for an after lunch/dinner visit.
