This cellar is by far one of the nicest inside in all of solvang. They have games and pool for family’s to enjoy. The problem is that their wine is way way way over priced. We have been a member for six months and since we live so far, the benefits are not work it. The bottles average $70-90 per bottle which does not match the quality. If I lived closer and received more of the benefits, then I would probably be on the fence with the business and staying a member, again the quality of wine does not match the price. We have requested to cancel this membership for over a year yet we keep getting charged despite multiple phone calls and emails confirming cancellation. The initial cancellation was in Jan or Feb this year. We even confirmed that we had cancelled in person at their Solvang location. Yet we keep getting charged with the most recent charge in December, after having already getting refunded for an incorrect charge a few months ago. The wine is fine but I’m extremely disappointed in the business practices.
There was nowhere to park. There was a lot dedicated to the restaurant immediately adjacent to the restaurant with a few open spots but the attendant would not let us in despite our reservation. He said that the owner of the parking lot instructed him to close it. This was at 5:00 pm on a Saturday. There were no other spots available along the street and the restaurant did not offer valet parking. Life is too short, and there are too many other choices, for such inconvenience.
McClain is truly a gem joining this wine club is like joining a family. The staff is unbelievably thoughtful and kind, special shout out to Taylor and Juliana, and it has been a pleasure to meet the wonderful community of members at their monthly events. The wine is delicious! It’s clear lots of passion and love goes into the winemaking. One of the best spots in Laguna and OC

We love McClain! We’ve been members since December 2022 and have had an incredible experience. The wine ambassadors are so friendly and knowledgeable, and the ambiance at both the Canyon and Forest locations is low key and fun, it’s our go to activity :
We loved our wine tasting experience with Juliana (what a gem)! Some of the best red wines we've ever had, we even signed up for their wine club. Awesome experience, a must visit when you're in Laguna!
Taylor gave me the best welcome and was patient and kind as she went over the different types of wine. Highly recommend this establishment and can’t wait to come back. The Riesling is delicious!
We had a wine tasting that felt like it was just for us. Ariel was extremely knowledgeable about all of the wines that we tasted and made the experience special!

I’ll definitely return just for Ariel; she was the most amazing wine ambassador I’ve ever seen!
