I ordered from McDonald's, which is somewhat unusual for me as I'm quite particular about what I eat. I decided to go with the Egg McMuffin since it's the only menu item made with a real egg, and I appreciated its appealing round shape. To my surprise, it was quite tasty! I also tried the pancakes, which were decent, but I wasn't impressed with the hash browns, and the coffee was just average. In the end, I gave McDonald's a four-star rating, mainly due to the hash browns. I had read in several articles that many other egg dishes at McDonald's are made with liquid eggs that are produced, frozen, and then reheated.
I ordered takeout using the app and ended up waiting nearly 20 minutes for my food. It seemed like they were prioritizing drive-thru orders over pickup ones. When I finally got my Big Mac, it was poorly assembled, with two patties stacked on top of each other, leaving the top bun completely without any meat. This was quite unusual compared to my previous experiences. I’ve had better visits here in the past, and this time was frustrating, especially since I spent almost my entire lunch break waiting for my meal.
The manager, who spoke with an accent, was rather unhelpful when it came to drink refills—she treated it like a serious breach of etiquette. I only requested one refill, but it felt nearly impossible to get. If the cup hadn’t been filled to the brim with ice, I probably wouldn’t have even needed to ask. I believed McDonald's had a policy of providing refills for drinks and fries, but that doesn’t seem to apply here. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.
I chose to go inside because the drive-thru was too busy. As there was no line, I placed my order immediately. While waiting for my food, I used the restroom and was pleased to find it clean. By the time I finished, my order was ready. The staff was very friendly and efficient. To my surprise, my food was brought to me just as I was leaving the drive-thru! I’m giving this location 5 stars primarily because of the wonderful experience I always have with one employee. Her name is Caitlin, and she’s at the window when we pick up our food. She is consistently polite and always greets us with a smile. Recently, I was having a rough morning, but our interaction lifted my spirits.
This is one of the rare McDonald's where the food quality and freshness are consistently outstanding. The customer service is always excellent too. I truly enjoy dining at this location!
The filet was excellent, but the fries were only mediocre. Unfortunately, the chicken nuggets were undercooked, and I even found a hard piece that resembled a bone.
