We were very eager to visit Mejwaani at New jersey to taste Marathi food like batata wada , misal and Amras poorie . We were impressed by these delicious dishes with very pleasant smile on the faces of the staff. The service was quite efficient. Our kids were delighted to receive special favor of Lollypops and photo facility with typical Marathi pheta and pagadi. The owner was very friendly and had personal attention . Our kids were were happy to receive such hospitality from them. Cleanliness and comfort level is worth mentioning. We would like to revisit in our next trip at Jersey. We were very excited to visit and taste authentic marathi food as we are the maharashtrians in the USA but what disappointed me was the mutton platter( The gravy was watery, Kheema quantity was not good, Meat pieces were ok) Fish Platter(King Fish) was good. Portion was sufficient and Chicken Chili was awesome. Solkadhi and Kalakhata were nice. Wait time was almost an hour with some confusion with the table#. Twice wrong dishes/beverages were brought to us which were basically ordered by folks sitting right next to us. Good food, we loved misal pav, overall good food. Slight improvement on varan... it was sweet for some reason but over all good food. Amazing maharashtrian food. We ordered bunch of stuff and everything was great. Must try vada pav and kala khatta! We also had thalipeeth, sabudana vada, kothimbir vadi, chole bhature and puri bhaji. Unique Maharashtrian menu… We tried pani puri which looks quite fancy but taste wise, is very so so! 100 points for the presentation but menu is just fine, same goes for the Vada pav as well!!!
