Best restaurant in town, hands down. A lovely, welcoming family establishment with a cute vibe and food that will knock your socks off. You can't go wrong with one of their arepas, but their empanadas are out of this world. My favorites are the Llovizna arepa and the veggie empanada. Vegetarian options: There are some delicious vegetarian options here. Almost all of them contain cheese, but they have recently included vegan cheese as an option for arepas. Im in love! So glad we finally got to try Merey! Packaging alone, I really appreciated the attention to detail and the love note on the bag! We ordered the tequeños (yummm! , the capacha pernil (out of this world! , and sweet plantains, rice, beans and shredded chicken all of which tasted homemade! Absolute delicious comfort food! I could swear I had tears running down my face the food was so good!! My kids loved the churros for dessert! Already looking forward to ordering here again... and hopefully eventually getting to the restaurant before summer ends! Highly recommend! Thank you, Merey!
The food was good. I got the arepa appetizers and was very filling. The veggie empanada was really good. I discovered this restaurant on GrubHub and thought I'd give it a shot. The mini arepas were indeed quite small, but I appreciated the sampler option where you can choose your own four. The rice had a delightful garlic flavor that I really liked. I'm definitely planning to return to explore more items on the menu. The atmosphere inside is warm and inviting. I'll update soon. I have to follow a strict gluten-free diet due to Celiac disease. Our friendly server recommended safe menu items for me. They have a dedicated fryer, and every item I ordered had a GF sticker on it. The food was absolutely delicious, and I can't wait to return. Food: 5/5
