I visited Mek’s Delight after a friend's recommendation, who insisted I try the "Laksa," a dish known for being spicy yet delicious. Curious about what "laksa" was, I found out it’s a spicy noodle soup. Wow, it was absolutely incredible! The spice level was perfect, and it really warmed me up after a long day of studying. The husband and wife who own the restaurant were incredibly welcoming and shared that they make their recipes using spices from their home country. To complete my meal, I also had their homemade Malaysian tea, which was a delightful addition. Will I go back? Definitely! Next time, I’m planning to try the three-taste fish. Thank you so much!
I placed a takeout order an hour ahead of time and was told it would be ready in another twenty minutes. At that time, there was only one couple eating in the restaurant. When I returned after the twenty minutes, my order hadn’t even been started. The owner didn’t apologize; instead, he just asked, “So, do you want it?” and “What do you want to order?” Clearly, he hadn’t even noted my order from an hour and twenty minutes ago. I left feeling hungry and frustrated by his lack of courtesy.
This is the best Laksa I’ve ever tasted! The staff here are exceptionally warm and welcoming. I will certainly be coming back soon! Although Google Maps states that they’re permanently closed, that’s not true—they’re open every day at 11:00 AM, except for Tuesdays!
The food here is incredible and always made fresh to order. I’ve tried the Roti Canai, Beef Rendang, Laksa, and Mee Goreng, and they were all the best I’ve ever tasted in the Vancouver area. Plus, the staff is extremely friendly! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I absolutely love this place! The food and drinks are authentically fantastic, and the atmosphere is perfect. I initially thought it would satisfy my craving to visit Malaysia, but instead, it made me want to go there even more!
This delightful small restaurant is run by a lovely couple. The Malaysian tea, beef rendang, eggplant sambal, and papaya salad were exceptional. We are certainly looking forward to returning to sample more dishes!
I absolutely love the food at this restaurant! I've been here several times, and I always leave feeling satisfied. They serve the best Malaysian cuisine I've ever experienced—it's just delicious!
