Melaques has amazing authentic Mexican dishes. Best in Helena. Family-owned and operated. I've been coming here for more than 20 years and always enjoy the food, atmosphere, and people. They first bring you complimentary tortilla chips and house-made salsa. The Sizzling Fajitas are my go-to favorite dish. Also, the margaritas are yummy. Right next door is 4J's bar and casino for more drinks and keno. Fyi, it does get busy on Friday night so expect to wait a little bit to get a table. It's worth the wait!
This restaurant is amazing. The owner not only serves delicious food, but she also has such a fantastic personality. We went on a weekend trip and couldn't find many authentic Mexican restaurants in Calgary, so we decided to have dinner here. I was blown away by the food - the carne tacos, rice and beans were delicious, and my wife loved the shrimp dinner. This is the best place to experience authentic Mexican flavors. We will definitely be coming back every time we visit.
Awesome place for a day or night out. The food was excellent and really well priced. Kids menu available. We came away full and I will tell you, the Server was awesome. She was more than helpfull and was there when we needed Her. This if you have been to other places is a God send when you want a nice time out. Did I tell you the food is really good. Be there at 5pm or you will be waiting.
The flavor of my food was very good. My visit was very rushed by the wait staff because they were busy, seating is limited with such a small space, and there was one experienced waitress and one young inex perienced girl. Too much work for such a short staff situation. Management needs to reassess their building space to accommodate their volume of customers.

It's exactly what you would expect going to a high-end cantina in Mexico City. Lots of food and my go to place for some of that fine gooey goodness to fill you up, satiating many appetites at once.Might be locally owned.
The food at this restaurant was delicious and satisfying. I ordered the supreme burrito and was extremely pleased with it. The shredded chicken was seasoned perfectly and had just the right amount of spice and flavor.
Good food and friendly fast service.Would have enjoyed some authentic Mexican music, not sure if they had just forgotten to turn it on or what.

The food was exceptional! This Mexican restaurant in Montana is the best I've ever tried. It definitely deserves a 5-star rating!
The food is great, service is a bit slow and we had a 30 min wait to be seated. The bar is nice while you’re waiting.
