I'm not generally a fan of Coney Island restaurants. I find them to be very mediocre. This isn't the case with Mel's Cafe. I walked in skeptical, but left as a fan! Our service was good, and very fast. I had a salad that stands out as my best salad at a coney type restaurant in as long as I can remember. This is definitely a stand out place for a quick meal that's still really delish!!
I generally go to Mel’s on Saturday or Sunday morning every weekend to get breakfast. Cannot say enough about the staff. They are super kind and friendly.
