The Northern woman with long brown hair was clearly not a fan of me. Unlike other customers she made me pay upfront, not after, didn’t seat me, didn’t offer alternative milks for me, she DID ask if I wanted any syrups but neglected to say they would be a staggering 50p extra, didn’t bring my drink to my table rather summoning me to get it from her, didn’t provide cream with my scone despite it saying it was served with it. None of the would be an issue but she did it for every single other customer that was entered the place whilst I was there. I found it deeply saddening tbh. The other woman with a blonde bob was lovely though, as was the hot food chef so it’s a localised issue I think.
I recently had a disappointing experience at a restaurant where I had to wait 40 minutes for breakfast, causing me to miss my train. Despite being told that the delay was due to being busy, the restaurant was not full and our order had clearly been forgotten. It appeared that the staff were more focused on chatting about their personal lives and taking cigarette breaks rather than ensuring orders were processed. Even the chef took a break for coffee and gossip while we waited. Although they did apologize and offer a discount on our bill, the breakfast was only okay and definitely not worth the lengthy wait.
Unfortunately, the restaurant is not what it used to be since the ownership changed. It appears more run-down and the delightful muffin/crumpet sandwiches, retro look, vintage dress code, and mouth-watering cakes that once made it special are all gone.
Highly recommend A great place for breakfast, lunch or coffee and cake. Loved the relaxed atmosphere, really friendly and helpful staff. The food was top notch, especially recommend the American style pancakes with bacon and syrup Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
First time here, really nice foo, atmos and service. Had the chilli mushrooms on toast, really good serving and super tasty, beautifully cooked. Good teas too. Will be back
Make time for this place. Food is great and the service is outstanding. Genuinely happy people who obviously love what they do. Highly recommend pretty much everything
Was on a little break from work went in this cafe treat myself to a cappuccino really nice staff was very friendly recommend coming here again

Lovely pancakes and vibe! Came here very early but they are prompt to take my order. The coffee and pancakes were totally amazing!
