Small, strip mall setting with 9 tables inside and a couple more outside, the decorations pay homage to Miami, as well as Cuba, with street signs such as Hialeah, Ocean and SW 8th St, a clipping of snow in Miami back in 1977, and other Miami knickknacks, the place has a bright, almost tropical look to it. The slogan is A Little 305 in the 704. With a collection of mostly Cuban dishes, as well as Nicaraguan, they did just that. My wife and I tried several things off the menu. We have eaten at several Cuban restaurants in Miami and The Keys, but none of them have anything on place we found in Denver, NC. We both had a Cafe Con Leche. It was delicious. Appetizer Mariquitas/Tajadas. Fried green plantain chips with a choice of 2 different sauces. Garlic Cilantro or Mojo Sauce. We asked for both. My favorite was the Garlic Cilantro. My wife had the Ropa Vieja. (Shredded beef in a red sauce with onions and peppers) Amazing! I had Lechon. (Roasted pork topped with grilled onions) Both came with black beans and rice. I have heard lots of good things about Miami Fusion Cafe. After Church, my wife and I have it a try. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our waitress gave us some recommendations and she was very helpful describing the various dishes and favorites. We started with the Empanada appetizer?delicious! My wife had the Cuban Sandwich and I had the Cuban Chop Chop for our meals. Both were delicious. My wife said it was the best Cuban Sandwich she had ever had. Hidden Gem!! Been wanting to check this place out for a while now. I?m originally from Miami and i know what authentic Cuban and Nicaraguan cuisine is. They nailed it! Tastes just like home. We ordered the Vaca Frita and Lechon with congris and maduro. The coffee was great and the pastelitos were warm and fresh. Service was quick and friendly. Server was knowledgeable and warm. Spoke to the owners for a while and they?re a very nice couple that took the time to explain the history of the nacatamal to my girlfriend and I. We left there on cloud nine and I?m so happy I found this place. Got a taste from home in NC now. I?ll be coming back often and letting everyone else know about it too.
What can I say? I am new to the area and this place came across my radar. The reviews were high, so had to try it out. Believe all the 5 stars! Oh my! I got the Cuban sandwich (forgot picture) and finished with a Cuban coffee. Both were amazing and I?m still trying to figure out how they transported me to Miami that quickly! The menu looked amazing, and I?m looking forward to trying a bunch more. Thank you for such an amazing and yummy place to eat!
Miami fusion cafe has a homey feeling. Very friendly place. The smell in there is amazing. Not only are there plenty of options but the sandwich was delicious. Definitely going again. The sandwich was juicy with a warm crispy bread. Also the fries tasted homemade. One of the best fries I've ever had!
First time visiting Miami fusion while in town for work. And really enjoyed it. My food was great. I do kinda wish the sandwich came with at least some chips. But the sandwich filled me up fine too. My co workers enjoyed their meals too. Love the Miami vibe inside. The pork sandwich was delicious.
We went for the first time yesterday and I was blown away! The lechón was absolutely delicious! Being a born and raised Miamian, I know my Cuban food. So I had high expectations. Miami Fusion did not disappoint! Y?all will be seeing me again? and again ????. Oh, and the service was A+!!!
The food at this restaurant is excellent. It is situated in a cozy strip mall setting. We loved every dish we tried and will be coming back for sure.
