This deli has been a part of my life I grew up with it I was born in 1967. I used to skate all the way from West Torrance to Hermosa as a kid. This deli has always been family owned and operated, I couldn’t imagine Hermosa without it! It’s not at the pier but for me it’s closer to my heart than any other structure in Hermosa. The sandwiches have probably tripled in price over the years, but I don’t want them to go away so I have to go over there and get my Mickey’s sandwich and soda and sit on the hard concrete outdoor table a few times a year so that I can help keep the business going! I purchased the BLT sub. It was quite tasteless. I wasn't expecting cheese. The bacon was not crispy or tasty, and believe it or not, too much bacon. The sandwich was very expensive and didn't come with any sides. The server was very nice to give me some potato salad, but it was made with mayonnaise instead of salad dressing. My daughter had spaghetti with chicken. She said it would have been okay if not for too much cheese and too much salt. All of that and two drinks, ran us about $35. Parking: No restrooms.
Not good..Not Italian at all. Apparently it used to be good now it's cookie cutter subs. Didn't ask me for the way I wanted it just served it. Even Subway asks for modifications. The Italian grinder i ordered has cheap meat (square ham etc) lettuce and cheese that's about it and it's expensive. Would not return. Didn't try anything else but quality was sub par and not close to real Italian meats.
OBVIOUSLY ONE OF THE STAPLES OF HERMOSA BEACH AND SOUTH BAY IN GENERAL... ALWAYS A GO TO ON A NICE BEACH DAY FOR LUNCH... OR ANY DAY AT ANYTIME FOR THAT MATTER EXCELLENT DELICATESSEN INSIDE.. HOMEGROWN HOMETOWN STAFF, AS WELL AS THE ATMOSPHERE YOU WOULD EXPECT FROM A JOINT LIKE THIS, MICKEY'S HAS BEEN HERE FOR A LONG TIME AND IT AIN'T GOING ANYWHERE!!!

Cool deli! Staff was polite! Can't wait to try pizza and their marinara sauce. The sandwich was good. Italian combo. A little spice, nice, bread was soft and tasty.
When you place an order for a chicken and avocado salad and its delivered and there is no avocado, that is unacceptable! Service: Delivery Food: 2
Something unusually good about this place with great NY style pizza slices and meaty sub sandwiches. I sat outside amongst really cool company.
Great little delicatessen for ordering pizza and other Italian food! My go to for pizza when I’m in the South Bay Area for work.
