Went here for our anniversary dinner. I had only heard about them thru facebook and a customer in my store said they never had a bad meal there. We didn't have a reservation but they accommodated us but letting us sit outside on the patio. The owner helped us out, she was super nice. The waitresses were awesome, amazing service which is rare now a days. We had the meat and cheese plate for our appy. Local meats, breads and cheeses which was awesome. I had the Rueben and Pare and goat cheese salad on the side. My husband had the veggie sliders and the popeye salad which was equally delish. How love the small business and how quaint it is. I used to love this restaurant and had been a frequent visitor, but my enthusiasm has waned. The charcuterie board was amazing, but now they serve toast with butter instead of crackers, which I found to be a letdown given the cost. Additionally, I'm not a fan of their social media posts where they often share their challenges - every business experiences difficulties, but I don't think it's necessary to constantly seek sympathy from the public. While the menu is decent and the food is tasty, there are better dining options in Vernon. It appears that they have reached a plateau and need to step up their game, as they used to be exceptional.
My experience at this restaurant was impeccable. The butter chicken I ordered was the best I have ever had, with a rich cherry tomato flavor that added a depth of umami. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the sliders, praising the juicy and flavorful patties. The pear goat cheese salad he ordered was equally delightful. Additionally, the service provided by the friendly staff was exceptional.
I have dined at this restaurant twice and the food is amazing! I tried the goat cheese and pear salad with chicken and it was delicious. The ingredients were all fresh and the presentation was great. I visited this restaurant based on a recommendation before heading to a nearby show and I was not let down! The service was very friendly and quick, and the food was excellent. I ordered the veggie sliders with Mac n cheese and they tasted delicious. The rest of my group also enjoyed their meals. Keep up the good work!
During a summer visit to see family, we decided to dine at Midtown Bistro and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food. Their charcuterie boards are unmatched by any other restaurant in Vancouver. I have included photos of both boards below. The service was great and we are now fans of this restaurant.
What a great find! Such delicious locally sourced meals. We had the charcuterie to end all charcuteries... I can't even tell you how magnificent it was! Server's were friendly and attentive. Would love to come back some time. Also... The blackberry/blueberry Mojito : the best!!
Good food great value. Soup and sandwich tasted good, the soup and sliders went down fine. Get here after 1:00 if you want to sit right away as it is busy. Only complaint the soup could have been hotter, but was still very good. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Price was great. Ordered the beef sliders and mashed potatoes. Very hardy meal. Service prompt and friendly. The music was a little loud. Great meal. Next time I'll have the pear and goat cheese salad.
