We visited for lunch, and it's refreshing to see a restaurant that takes this meal seriously, unlike many places that seem to overlook it. The entire staff at Mikimoto was sharp, efficient, and on top of their game. The food was outstanding! The Double Fantasy roll was absolutely mind-blowing! I also appreciated the attention given to my food allergy—thank you to the team for that. This is a fantastic spot for a first date or a special occasion! I noticed that all customers were treated with respect, from young people grabbing a quick lunch to an elegant elderly woman and her companion who were having a business meeting. Thank you to the Mikimoto team for a wonderful lunch experience!
This is likely the best sushi spot in or around Wilmington. They offer a wide variety of sushi rolls and sashimi—don’t miss the incredible toro! They also have an excellent selection of hot dishes, including a phenomenal twin filet with spicy green beans, delicious salmon, and much more. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the waitstaff is attentive and friendly. If you plan to visit on a Friday or Saturday night, be sure to arrive early, as wait times for sushi can exceed an hour due to the crowds. Aside from that minor issue, which isn't really their fault, everything is outstanding! Be sure to give it a try, and remember, they accept reservations!
Sushi, sushi, sushi—how we adore it! Unfortunately, many sushi places in this area fall short on creativity and flavor. Thankfully, that's not the case here. In my opinion, sushi should allow you to savor each distinct flavor while also coming together as a harmonious roll. Every roll we tried achieved this beautifully. My wife also mentioned that her drink was fantastic. Thank you for paying attention to the details; it truly makes a difference and is evident in the overall experience.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The sushi was fresh and delicious! The lettuce wraps and bang bang shrimp were definitely the highlight of the meal! I can’t say I've ever had a bad experience at this restaurant. My granddaughter absolutely loves this place, especially the Hairy Mexican dish. We often order more than we should, but it's always worth it. The food is consistently fresh and beautifully presented.
I sat at the bar. Friendly atmosphere: bartender and guests at the bar. Felt welcomed. And the food was PHENOMENAL: had miso soup, Hairy Mexican Sushi roll (and some other one but can’t remember the name) and the Whiskey Sours were delicious. Thank you!
The food was great and the portions were quite large. We also had a great server. His name was Sullivan. We did not have to wait long to receive our food. It was an overall great experience.

I absolutely love this place! The Happy Hour deal is fantastic—buy any two sushi rolls and get one free. The cocktails are also excellent. I give it a perfect score of 10!
