Fantastic selection of food! Our family tried the fried pickles, shrimp tempura roll, and smoked and fried chicken, and everything was delicious. We also enjoyed the blackberry smash cocktails. The outdoor covered balcony was a lovely spot, offering a beautiful view! This restaurant is also very family-friendly, with "extra tall" high chairs available for the high-top tables. A big thank you to the hostess who was able to accommodate us without a reservation. I highly recommend making a reservation if you want to skip the long wait.
It's about time I share my thoughts, especially since I've dined here over 10 times! This place is an absolutely fantastic dining destination. The food is consistently excellent, and the drinks are great as well. I highly recommend the Shrimp Tempura sushi! My boyfriend and I have brought every single family member and friend who visits us to Mill Street Tavern. The views of Shem Creek and the sunset are stunning. The staff is incredible; they go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and feel right at home!
Im happy to pay for food done well. Thats not what you get at the Mill street Tavern. I had salmon. I got a reheated piece of salmon. It came with rice. I got reheated rice. If you like leftovers, the Mill Street Tavern is for you. The drinks were pricey, but the pours were reasonable. Come for the drinks. Eat yiur own leftovers at home and you will save a lot of money. Bottom line: this restaurant should not be in business based on the food they served. Final bill? $200.
What a wonderful unexpected find. My wife and I visited during our honeymoon in Charleston. It was recommended by a local, and those recommendations have never failed me. They didn't this time. We made reservations, and we did notify them it was our honeymoon when they asked about special occasions. We were greeted with warm smiles and a complimentary round of champagne. Excellent selection, friendly staff, and quick service. The sushi was fresh and delicious, though we had to move indoors because of some ants on the patio tables. Once we alerted the staff, they promptly relocated us and had a table prepared. Food rating: 5/5.
Went to the rooftop bar to grab some after dinner cocktails, Lavender Sunset was yummy and husband tried a margarita. Bartender was super responsive and kind, there was an amazing view of Shem's Creek. Definitely recommend giving it a try.Food: 5/5
So yummy and great view! A beautiful place right on the water. A little bit more on the pricier side. But food hits every time. Service is great too! I got the fried chicken sandwich and it was soooo good! Definitely try it out!
Perfect spot to catch a sunset on a nice day. This time we went and sat inside and still had great service and vibes. Ordered the warm grain bowl was pretty good. Enjoyed the cocktails
