My wife and I have been frequenting Miss Vickies for a long time, and it never disappoints. The staff is outstanding, and we’ve never had a negative experience. The food is exceptional for the price, there's always cold beer available, and everything is fresh. This place is truly a landmark. Miss Vickie herself is a wonderful person—kind, accommodating, and an excellent host. We love the atmosphere and everyone who works there. With great people, a fantastic staff, delicious food, and cold beer, what more can I say? You definitely need to check it out; I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. I hadn’t been here in 15 years and it is just as I remember. Maybe better. The bathrooms are clean and air conditioned (they weren’t before). This is a beer and wine location right on the Ancolote river. I used to get blackened grouper salad, but they have blackened fish now. I selected a “mini” salad with a crab cake, it’s very delicious. My husband got the ‘small’ salad and I don’t think either of us will be able to finish our lunch. You can come by car or by boat. Just make sure you stop on in.
Ordered large Cajun boiled peanuts for pickup from the boat dock. 30min wait on a Sat seems reasonable but still frustrating considering the nuts are likely boiled already. However absolutely delicious and a perfect snack our at the sandbar. Perfect season not over cooked easy to open.

This restaurant is a beautiful spot by the water, perfect for watching the sunset. The food is delicious, and the beer is served ice-cold.
