MTJ is an excellent restaurant! I really appreciate their ability to check in online to get on the waitlist ahead of time, so you don't have to wait long when you arrive. My friends and I were planning to catch a show at The Pageant on Saturday night and wanted to have dinner at MTJ beforehand, which worked out perfectly! Unfortunately, the chips were greasy and lacked crunch, while the sauces were quite basic. The portobello tacos were excessively oily, which was off-putting. The shrimp taco was mediocre, featuring overcooked shrimp. The fried chicken taco was a letdown, with chicken that was barely the size of a normal pen. It was mostly breading and toppings. The carne asada taco contained tough beef and had only three small pieces inside. My wife tried the soft taco and found it too watery.

I visited this place a lot in the past. They used to have happy hour after ten which two dollar taco, now they do not have this deal anymore, which is probably why this place was not as busy on weekend night as it was in the past. We ordered tacos including my favorite Mango-Hop-Anero Shrimp tacos, Guacamole chips, Carne Asada Fries, and Beef Birria. The food were great. The service was decent. The waitress took our orders and did check on us one time.

I'm sorry to say that my recent experience at the Delmar location did not meet expectations. I ordered the hot fried chicken tacos but found them to be undercooked. My friend also noted that her two tacos had an odd taste. On a positive note, we really enjoyed the chips, salsa, and the 32-ounce margarita we took home. I also sampled the Baja fries, which were delicious. Unfortunately, the tacos just didn't deliver this time.
Holy hell. These are good tacos. I had the fish taco and the shrimp tacos and BODY (that means really good). I would have their street corn as my death row meal. We got the tri dips and their salsa...WOW. Amazing. Bean dip also slaps. Place was clean with cool artwork on the walls. Staff were nice and service was quick. If you like tacos, you should go here. And if you don't like tacos, go here anyways cause you're wrong.

I've been here so many times but never reviewed it! This place is a must visit if you're in the loop area. Their two options are amazing and they have a different taco every month. Their appetizer menu is the BEST! Their homemade tortilla chips are amazing and the salsa is unmatched. Great spot for all the taco lovers out there!

I got the barbecue chicken tacos. The chicken inside was very. The barbecue sauce with the the pickled onion on top just made it have a better taste. They are a good taco.
