Upon arrival, we were seated quickly, but then it took an astonishing 30 minutes just to receive our water and banana, and an additional 40 minutes for our food to arrive. While I might have overlooked this wait under normal circumstances, it was surprising since there were only four other customers in the entire restaurant. When the food finally arrived, it was unfortunately disappointing. Out of all the dishes, only the Jokbal, salad, kimchi, and soy were not overly sweet. Everything else was excessively sugary. Hungry for some bossam on a rainy day and this place definitely hit the spot! The way they do it here is you order at the front and choose to go or dine in after which they'd direct you to a table. I wish I could say something positive about the service, but unfortunately, my friends and I had a disappointing experience. We arrived for our reservation at 8:00 PM and waited 45 minutes for a table. After we finally got seated, we ordered the premium boom but didn’t receive our food until we had to call the waiter to inquire about it. Throughout our time there, no one checked in on us. When we asked about our order, they informed us it would take another 5-6 minutes, which was frustrating. Went here for lunch at another restaurant in the complex and the restaurant caught my attention with a window full of good reviews from magazines. We changed our plan to try out Mister Bossam. The 2 standout dishes are: 1. La Grilled Cheese Pork Ribs 2. Bossam. We tried out Green Onion Bossam to add some veggie in the meal This is a little bit a lot for 4 but we were super hungry so there was not so much food left. My boyfriend and I really enjoy visiting this restaurant with friends for bossam. It's our top choice whenever we're in the mood for it, and we've always left satisfied. The premium bossam combo includes three delicious flavors of steamed pork belly—original and garlic green onion—along with generous portions of pork jowl. This combo is more than enough to share among four people. They also provide lettuce and a variety of banchan (side dishes) for making lettuce wraps. We appreciate that Mister Bossam offers outdoor patio seating as well.
As for the food and pricing, we tried the Grilled Cheese with Pork Ribs that came with fried rice for $45, along with a peach soju. The fried rice is added to the dish about halfway through the meal. The flavors are fantastic, and we had plenty of leftovers! Regarding service and ambiance, the staff was friendly and took our temperatures upon arrival. They offer both outdoor and indoor seating, with heat lamps available, although it was still a little chilly outside. Would I return? Absolutely!
Service 10/10. We were welcome and are sitting right away. The staff has always consistently checked us. LA grilled cheese pork ribs 9/10. (They turn it into fried rice with the rest.) Budae kimchi hot pot 9/10. Classic Korean army soup is always good on a cold rainy day. buckwheat noodles in radish water 8/10. Great appetizer to share before the spicy and savory train arrives. Wow, Mr. Bossam is amazing! I would definitely return if I had the chance to grill pork again. I loved the “All Star Bossam Combo” (original, garlic, and green onion) – it was fantastic to enjoy with the salad provided. The Grilled Cheese Pork Ribs were also delicious, and the roasted rice and cheese steamed eggs on the side were a nice addition. I would come back for the All Star Bossam anytime! Same are with Banana Bay and Phoenix. The restaurant is very clean and new. Good customer service. I order seafood pancake, cheese pork ribs and squid. The waiter cut the pork ribs and stir with the cheese. Good quality. However, I think the sauce and cheese don’t go along well. Squid and the pancake are very delicious. The portion is quite big. 3-4 people can finish cheese pork rib.
