The waitress was one of the best I have ever had . Attentive but not bothersome. She brought the bill shortly after I finished the dessert and coffee.the food was fresh and delicious the chef came out to greet patrons one by one and remembered me from my first visit there which was 6 months ago. He remembered that I had a asked for creme caramel last year and told me if I called ahead he would make it for me . I did not, but enjoyed the best butter pecan pie I have ever had and so beautifully presented. I was only sorry I did not take a picture of it. I took a friend there the next night also so she could enjoy the food too
I recently visited Misto for the first time this week. What a wonderful surprise it was to find this delicious restaurant tucked off the beaten path. We ordered the spring rolls, which were crunchy and delicious, then a spicy fish, ginger and black bean dish, served over rice ( which was the best thing I had eaten at a resturant in years) Followed by coconut cream pie for desert. Everything was fresh and clearly homemade. I am dissapointed I have never been here before and will make a point of visiting again the next time I am in Lindsay.
We were on our way to our cottage and ordered the lamb shanks to go. The smell in the car nearly drove us crazy. When we got there we noticed that the chef had added more so we wouldn't go hungry. It was really REALLY good. Lit a fire and mowed down. Worth every penny. I would do that again but dont always think about it. But you should try it. Who knew?? The Bells of Anstruther lake.
We always have a pleasant evening with Charlene and Efren. Efren loves what he does and does it with style. I love that he comes out each time to greet us and say hi, did you enjoy your meal? The meal is awesome every time. Charlene his wife is kind and gracious and is so friendly. You always free welcome. Misto is a hidden jewel of a restaurant in Lindsay. Highly recommend it! Misto's is definitely worth the drive across town to discover. The food is excellent- fresh, home made, healthy and delicious. This is a family run restaurant- friendly, terrific service and the place is spotless. The prices are great. Do yourself a favour and head to misto's. You won't be sorry you did!
Just love going here. It's our treat. Feels at times that your special due to the size. Sometimes I just tell the Chef to surprise us. Nothing like a tasty and awesome surprise meal. Home made soups are stunning. Sad that we don't go here often enough.
So good! A great mix of different types of foods. Lots of options for those familiar with Cuban food and those that are a little more reserved, there is something for everyone.
