I wanted to try this restaurant for my birthday because I love Uni. Parking is on the street. The parking garage is for the shops and the Mexican restaurant across from Miyabi Uni. When we arrived, the place wasn't busy at all and we were greeted warmly by the staff and sushi chefs. A couple of new tables arrived after we sat down. Our professional and attentive server, Chris, guided us through the menu and we appreciated his suggestions. We started with hot, roasted green tea and the large premium hot sake. Miyabi Uni has these special Yoppari Night on every first and third Thursdays of the month. They have a unique menu and different Japanese brewery will sponsor the alcohol pairing. The menu and Japanese alcohol selection change monthly. We actually accidentally found this out by having lunch the day before this dinner. Thankfully, they manage to find us a table at the second seating at 8pm. For $80, this dinner was a bargain with really good sake and shochu cocktails (in this particular night) and all the foods are selected from the most expensive items in the menu including fresh Santa Barbara Uni, Uni pasta and mini Kaisen Don (Assorted raw fish on top of sushi rice). Great but pricey uni! Love the happy hour with $1 oysters and delicious premium uni cream pasta, but that is for a premium price. The sake flight is a steal on happy hour for $10 and the uni shooters are delicious and a mouthful of uni and creaminess. The donburi is lacking a little in uni so I would go with the sushi next time or just uni by itself. Haven't tried the uni miso soup, but am intrigued by it since the uni is definitely fresh. They ran out of ankimo, but for the price I would definitely get that. Overall great service and delicious food and a sometimes premium price. I absolutely love this place! I'm a massive fan of uni, and if you are too, this is the spot for you! They have an array of unique uni dishes that are truly impressive. I think I sampled at least half of them. Make sure to try the uni shooters; they're a delightful experience. The uni cream pasta is fantastic as well, featuring cooked uni in the sauce and raw uni on top. I will definitely be returning soon!

Miyabi Uni offers incredible sushi and delightful dishes from their terrace. The sea urchin (uni) is their specialty, and it was simply delicious. The restaurant has a unique vibe, combining elements of an izakaya (Japanese bar) with a refined dining experience. The service was excellent as well. It’s a local favorite that is well-reviewed and supports the nearby community!

really good Japanese restaurant. try them santa barbara uni, miyabi kaisen and kaiseki don. super fresh seafood and beautiful presentation. the staff is friendly, attentive and helpful. yuzu sorbet is perfect to finish the meal. restaurant is not too big, sometimes it is better to make a reservation in advance. I hope to come back.

It's absolutely fantastic! We ordered the uni shooter, hamachi kama, ankimo, a dozen oysters, scallop carpaccio, tuna, yellowtail, and salmon sashimi, and the total came to just $170. miyabi uni serves amazing sushi and they have terrace food. uni souligel is her specificity, and it was delicious. partly izakaya Japanese bar, partly uplifted restaurant, the service was great. local, well reviewed and supported the neighboring enjoys!

This place blew my mind. Had the Miyabi Kaisen, the same quality and taste as what I'd get in Japan. Great service and clean atmosphere.
