Mo Ran Gak Korean BBQ restaurant is probably the busiest Korean BBQ place on the entire Garden Grove Boulevard. It's always so packed with a long queue outside the restaurant. I arrived at 11:50am on Tuesday for lunch and literally no parking space already. I drove around and around and finally I got a spot. if you really cannot find a spot to park, just park at the Arirang Market plaza across the street and walk over to avoid the hassle. Massive portions, mostly affordable, really great service, and my gosh is it delicious. We couldn’t stop our mouths from watering as we saw dish after dish pass us, but soon the banchan came and we were in heaven. The bibimbap is the size of my torso…do not order for fewer than 2-3 people. Bulgogi was great but again—sharing portion. We took home an entire extra meal after making a considerable effort and giving away half of our deep dish pajeon. perfect place for a big party if you don’t mind a short wait.
I queued up to eat at this restaurant, but was disappointed by the high prices and lackluster taste of the food. The portions were small and the ambiance did not encourage a satisfying dining experience. The cold noodles were delicious, both the clear broth and the red broth, along with tasty side dishes. The spicy squid with rice was absolutely amazing. We haven't tried the BBQ yet, but the dishes we did try were fantastic. We will definitely be returning. Exciting news - a new location is opening in Fullerton!
As I said, I am very satisfied. The waitress came from far away and gave us great service and was really friendly and kind. I had good memories.
Bibim Naengmyeon is delicious! The bill was a little disappointing, but… I don't understand why tips are included in the tax-included bill.
