Like a B-movie, this restaurant has potential. But sadly because of its touristy location, Momo can get away with murder, which this afternoon meant mediocre service and mall-quality sushi.We were seated in the back booth of the restaurant. Gastown has plenty of new and pricey eateries for the young and beautiful. Instead of caving in and following local Vancouverites to some of the more popular pubs, cafes and restaurants in this area, my friends and I decided to have an early lunch at Momo Sushi.The menu is extensive. I ordered the tasting plate of 6 sashimi which included tuna, salmon, hokkigai and tai. Each type was delicious and fresh. If we did not have a plane to catch I would have repeated this dish! Edamame as a starter was also well prepared. The restaurant will not win any interior design awards but this is more than made up for by the excellent food. Pity they had run out of their very limited selection of wine. Red or white. White finished! Worth a visit.
We ordered bento boxes and they had a huge amount of food. Tempura, kaarage, nigiri, sashimi, salad, miso, and a choice of sushi roll. The quality of the fish was good and amazing value at $17.95. My salmon and avocado roll was really tasty, as was the fresh salmon sashimi. This is a fab place for good sushi at an amazing price. I'll just go more hungry next time as the bento was huge! I was there with my girlfriend and we both had a nigiri & California rolls combo and added a sockeye salmon and ebi nigiri. It was, in my opinion, the best sushi I had so far - and not expensive at all. The only small drawback was that they were out of stock on their Chardonnay. Still, 5 points for the great food and value!

Just a short walk from the Palace. The place itself is very small. It's our first time in Vancouver. We decided to try this place for dinner and the food was good comparing to what we have in California. They only take credit card. No cash. The prices are reasonable. Recommend it.

The food we experienced here was light, crisp and delicious. Portion sizes were perfect, service was quick and little wait time between ordering and food on the table. A small shop front but big on delivery. I loved it here
