These desserts are overwhelmingly sweet—almost sickly so—and I'm someone who enjoys Oreos and regular ice cream. As a customer, I find myself questioning why a restaurant that should take pride in its quality ingredients feels the need to add so much extra sugar. Excess sugar can often hide the taste of old or stale ingredients. Additionally, the sprinkles are way too crunchy. The person in charge at Milk Bar should definitely take a look at the Yelp reviews and consider reformulating the recipes.
The soft serve ice cream tastes unique, and I loved the sweet, crunchy corn flakes, but was it worth $8.50 for a small cup? The Milk Bar Pie was rich and sweet, probably too sweet for some people—imagine pecan pie without the nuts—but the slice was thin and small. It came in a package that was the size of a McDonald’s apple pie. Definitely not worth $7. We also had a yummy version of their DQ Concrete, but for $12.50 it was small and not worth it. They also have overpriced cookies and shakes.
The staff is excellent, but the product itself is somewhat disappointing compared to how fantastic I felt about it at the time of its opening. The peanut butter flavor wasn’t very strong and left a bit to be desired after each bite. The cereal milk really raised my expectations, but it seems the company has struggled to maintain that same level of quality since then.
I just ordered a 6” cake from Milk and got a dried out piece of trash that I paid 70 dollars for. First off, if you are going to charge 70 dollars for a cake, basically 11 dollars slice, make it fresh and good. This thing tasted like it came from the back of freezer burnt purgatory. The fresh sample cookie they gave was by far and away better than the cookies I actually bought. A bit turned off by the prepackaged delivery but hey they gotta pump them out to stay alive in a hip spot like Willburg. Flavors are unique but cookies seemed on the dry side. Worth a try for but maybe just once…
The cookies are delicious. Both the fresh and the packaged ones. The corn and compost flavors are my favorite. The soft serve and corn flake topping is pretty good, rich and a unique cereal flavor. It’s an order and take away situation (or sit outside) since the store is super small
Out late and got cake at 11:30pm!! Great location close to everything and what a variety! We got Red velvet cheese cake, Truffles and a slice of pie! The Pie was so amazing and full of flavor. Quick service and easy transaction! A must try! They had ice cream too…
The soft serve was delicious, but the corn flakes had a slightly too savory taste. I also noticed that the prices have gone up since last year. Considering the amount of ice cream you receive for the price, some adjustments should be made. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I like the menu but it's all way too sweet. I couldn't finish the birthday cake milkshake or the chocolate cake. My teeth were hurting from how super sweet it was. If you want diabetes, go for it
